How are people handling this after a year and a half? I have lost 125 and I am stuck at 175. I have been at the same weight for months. I am a size 16 which is wonderful, but when people say I'm skinny, my reaction is "You've got to be kidding, look at this flab!" I don't know if I will reach my goal (30 pounds more). Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas to stay on the straight and narrow? I mean now I do eat and ocassional piece of bread, I've eat dessert every now and then. I find it is harder and harder to be so strict (100 % Atkins). I know I need to exercise more and eat less, but wahhh!

Hi I am 24mths out and was exactly like you at 17 mths In fact I got to 185 lbs from 302 -117lbs and then I started gaining. I am leveled off at 194, but feel that I should really start to diet. I eat normally, but recently found the pouch rules for dummies under a web search and find that if you try to follow this and high protein you can start losing again. I also want to join a gym, but never seem to follow through. I did have ps and that helped with the inches. but I want to lose more weight. I hear you can safely lose 20 pounds and not affect the ps/tt results. Oh well. How are you doing now?

I'm a little over 2 yrs post op and have had my plastics done now. I went from a size 10/12 to a 4/6 after plastic surgery and lost 15 lbs with that (LBL). I would love to lose another 10-15 lbs but everyone including my doctor says NO WAY. I tend to be on the other end of the stick. I could become anorexic easily because I freak about a pound fluctuation. It's harder the longer post op you are either from going back into gaining or losing when you shouldn't. Guess everyone is so different. I do eat healthy most all the time but I will also sometimes eat and think I have eaten too much so I flu**** out with water.....that's a bad habit too because you don't get the nutrition. I try to eat about 1000 calories a day but the dietician told me at my year follow up I should be eating around 1400 calories, I am interested in hearing what she says at my follow up (2yr post op) appt the end of this month. HUGS and best wishes to you.
