Almost 3 years

Hi: My anniversary date is coming up. On June 22, 2000 I had my surgery. It has changed my life. People do not recognize me. When I had the surgery I weighed 514 lbs. I now weigh 280. I have gained about 40 lbs, but I finally have started exercising so I'm hoping to do better. I am a little discouraged because my plastic surgery was denied. I changed jobs after my surgery and changed insurance and they would not cover removing the loose skin. My Doctor could not believe it and tried twice to submit photos but it did not work. I guess I'm starting to feel like I might as well fill this "pot" up. I know that is wrong, so I started at a fitness center. Just a little slip I guess. I do feel great though,,,eating a little more I guess...more snacking which is wrong. I can't seem to eat a full meal, so I get hungry and snack. I am working out and trying to get ready to go to Disney World next month. The whole family is going and I need to keep up with my 5 grandchildren. 3 years ago I could not walk to the car. Good luck to you Linda. I weighed 439 when I had my lap Roux En Y on 6/19/00. I lost 187 and then gained 20. I'm starting to lose again, same here....snack snack snack.....It can really be depressing. I never thought I would "fail", but now I look back at what I have accomplished and it makes me smile. I can remember going to the grocery store and having to take a break at the end of each eisle....Boy, that was some work! I can now keep up with my kids and just look at my hubby and laugh, cuz he is just soooooo lazy....lol.....Just wanted to say hello and tell ya to keep your head up. Take care!~ Kimberly Mosley
