Long story short, the past three weeks I have been having stomach pain regardless if I was eating or not. I finally got in to see my Doctor and they admitted me into the Hospital. While I was there for 2 days they found I have a Peptic Ulcer. Caused by H. Pylori (I guess the antibiotics did not clear it before my RNY) and compounded by stress. So I am now on many different medications to try and heal it. Still kind of scared to eat as most everything hurts going down...
On top of that I have to go this week to find out the results of my Kidney problems and stones. I know my Kidney Doctor is going to want to put me on a special diet to try and prevent future stones, but I also don't know if that kind of diet will be ok with having an Ulcer as there are some foods I cannot have... So I am nervous about that..
I also go in for Spinal Injections the 17th and 24th of this month.. Just needed to vent.. However, if anyone has any suggestions as to what kinds of food might be good for an Ulcer, I would greatly appreciate it. When released the Doctors just told me no acidic foods, and eat as tolerated..
Oh goodness! Sounds like a stress filled time for you! Do you have a gastroenterology specialist to help you with finds to not aggravate your ulcer further? Are you on anything like carafate? I am so sorry you are dealing with this and will keep you in my thoughts on your spinal injection days! That sounds painful, pray that the medical personnel help you with meds and that you are well supported at home!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I had my VSG done may 23. Started at 270 before 2 week preop diet. Went into surgery at 249 and weighed in at 222 yesterday. My mini goal was to hit 220 for my 6 week follow up which is July 4. Not sure if I will but I'm happy with my progress so far!!!
