I agree that it is all worth it!!!  I can't wait to be pos-op and watching the number on the scale keep going down........ I'm Day 2 of liquids and it wasn't that bad yesterday.  So I hope today will be even easier.  Wishing you a happy day.

Hi!  Well day 1 was not so bad.  I wasn't really even hungry, I don't know if it is because I drank so much water or I have brainwashed myself into thinking this is going to be okay.  lol
I hope you surgery went well and you are recovering nicely.  Please let me know how it went.
Sending quick recovery wishes.....

I'm so jealous!  My centre puts us on a liquid diet for 3 straight weeks.  Four shakes a day.  Nothing else bu****er and sugar free gum, juices or jello.

Oh well I've lost 20 pounds so far so that is good.

My surgery date is May 22nd and my doc only requires full liquids 1 day prior and nothing after midnight.  However, I plan to do a week of 2 soy protein shakes and a sensible meal (lunch) just for my own satisfaction.

Hi I started the 2nd stage (full liquids) pre-op diet today as well. My surgery isn't until the 22nd so I have two weeks of this. But the last two weeks was only one meal a day and protein shakes the rest of the time, so I don't think full liquids will be as hard going from one meal as it would be going from three meals, but we will see...I know the end result will be SO WORTH IT!!!

It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. It requires sacrifice. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's WORTH IT! (Author Unknown). I feel this sums up my ongoing journey to a healthier me!

Hello, I am having my sugary on May 23 and this date can not come soon enough. I will start optifat May 7.  I'm also nervous on the upcoming  next two weeks with drinking the shakes and bars. I pray that everything goes well  for each and everyone of us. Best of luck .

Thanks for sharing!  I does help!  I officially start tomorrow, but decided to do protein drinks yesterday and today, hoping that if I feel bad, at least I will be at home.  So far it hasn't been bad, although I woke up with a headache yesterday.  I get them frequently so I can't say it was low consumption or weather.  Let us know how surgery goes!
