Surgery date is set for 8:30 am on May 3, 2011.  The liquid diet is in progress. Yes, it sucks! Yes, it is hard!  The first 3 days were the worst for me, oh yeah and then Easter wasn't too much fun either. Thankfully a week from now, at this time, I should be done with my surgeryand working on healing. Is anyone else having their surgery in the beginning of May?

I am looking for some friends with a similar situation as mine to compare stories, and for support. I have a BMI under 40, with comorbidities of Diabetes and High Blood Pressure. My BMI was once over 40, but I tried losing weight on my own, before resorting to wls, and lost a little.

I am also looking for post op persons that have a similar story to mine that are already in progress to, or have reached their goals, just for guidance. Any advice to someone ready to have the surgery?

My surgery is 5/5 too!!! I have been going crazy because all of the sudden it feels like the days are just dragging on!  I dont know what to do with myself in the mean time.

I am also having the surgery on May 2nd. I didnt have to do a 2 week liquid diet but I do feel for you guys. Ive been on a supervised diet for 6 months. I have lost 15lbs so far. I hope for the best for all 3 of us next week.

Hello Heidi, I am also having my surgery on May 2nd.
The pre-op diet is very difficult to follow for me too....I have lost 12 pounds on it but it is not easy at all. I wish you the best in your journey. Keep in touch.
