I dont have an exact date yet but my Insurance folks seem to think its safe to say I will go sometime in May. I found something that I just started using that maybe you all would be interested in. I found a CD of guided imagery by a company called healthJourneys. Meditations to promote Successful Surgery by Belleruth Naparstek. Its really helping A LOT with the pre-op jitters! I know this kind of thing works since I was able to use something similar when I had my kids. No Drugs when I had Mei at all! It was amazing!

I have the same surgery date, at 10:30 a.m. Next week is filled with pre-op testing, blood work,
chest x-ray, ultrasound, meeting with respiratory therapists and bariatric nurse. An EGD on the 22nd. Then it will be a week before the surgery. Like you, I am so ready to get this done.
I have bought all my vitamins, have samples of a bunch of protein and found a hydration bottle which does not allow any air in and actually counts the number of sips you take and the ounces you drink in a 24 hour period.

My date is May 12 as well!!
27 days and counting...My Pre-Op is April 23rd (which consists of a bunch of tests, EKG, Upper GI, blood work, etc).
I'm very very excited! And also very very nervous! I actually had a mental meltdown this morning at work. I think it's from the stress from the job, compiled with stress from this surgery, along with some current health problems I've been having.
Just can't wait to have this surgery, lose the weight and get healthy!!!

Hi Michele

I don't know why I didn't see this post before but I have to tell you it made me laugh!! I only have 2 kids under 7 and I feel like I am ALWAYS on here!! Lol...I feel like I clean and they go right behind me and mess it up. Not to mention the laundry! Anyway, thanks for the laugh - it made me feel like my life is not the only one so chaotic !

I sure hope so. I am expecting a call from the hospital today with some pre-registration questions. My EGD will be next week on the 22nd.
