Its been a stressful couple of weeks waiting for the insurance approval...had an appointment with my surgeon today but couldn't schedule a date because I hadn't heard back from insurance yet which was kind of a bummer...so when I got home I decided to give BCBS a call to see if there was any movement with on file...the best words I ever heard...You have been approved!! Yay!!  I called the surgeons office and now its official...I'm gonna get me a sleeve on 5/17!!  I'm so excited to share this month with all the other May "flowers", lol!!  We'll be on the losers bench in no time at all!!    Lisa

Wow...I just finished my pre-op doc visits on Monday and today I got a call to schedule surgery for next Friday!!!!  I had to decline that date because my littlest is having her first communion on the 1st.  So May 7th it is!!!  Now it all starts to seem real.  Before it was just talk and it felt like I was going through the motions but it seemed so far off.  Huh...no more!  Already ordered some sample protein powders...not even gonna bother with tasting them now...I've heard that your tastes may change post op.  Got my bullet on stand by, crystal light in the cabinet, and sugar free pops in freezer.  Now off to the pharmacy for those vitamins.

Any other May 11th surgery patients out there to follow along with?

I am already thinkg of what to have ready at home and what to bring to the hospital.
I start my LSD  diet Monday April 26th 2 weeks before.

I go off my Coumadin a week before and start Lovenox shots twice a day before surgery.
I have to arrivce early enough the morning of to have another blood draw to make sure my blood is ready for surgery.

So looking forward to the day.

I'm sure I'll get nervous like anyone else the day before just because it's another surgery.
