I had my surgey on the same day. I'm down about 110 plus depending on where I get weighed in. Kick ass and keep up the good work. These folks on the board are very helpful. I've lurking around and they all giv great advice. Whats better most experenice some of the same issues. Thank you ALL!

You ladies are doing great! I just past my 7 month mark on 1/26. I'm down 86 lbs since surgery (RNY) and 149lbs all together since I started this journey (lost 63lbs prior to surgery). What an AMAZING feeling to be half the person I once was and to live more of the life I ever thought was possible! Can't wait to hit my ultimate goal...only 44lbs to go.

In my family? No! Though that's a nice thought. Trust me, my family never had any problems telling me I needed to lose weight and make jabs for most of my life. I really just think it was envy. Here I am, the heaviest one on the family for most of my life and I've finally taken control...and they all "let themselves go".

omg! wow! 96 lbs with the band?!? i got banded may 2009 too...i've been a slow loser lol. only down 82. i'm def slacking on getting fills though. i'm a travel nurse and it's really hard to get home sometimes. i'm going to be religious about it as soon as this contract gets done! i've been doing the whole low carb/high protein thing and i'm still losing...just slow. anyways...congrats on your success! you look so happy!

Maybe talking about a lady's weight at all, even for the positive, is a bit awkward for people who haven't seen you in a while. Taboo, and all that.

Just finding this board for the first time; I've been on the RNY board for a while. 5/18/09 was the date, and I'm down 115# since then, 175# since August '08. Goal is 215#, so I have about 55# to go. I'll check in here from time to time.
