Topic: RE: 2 weeks out..meal ideas?
I have not had my surgery yet (it is Monday) but I know 2 weeks out I will be on All liquids and puree. So anything that I can puree would be fine with my surgeon. (they want puree 3 times a day 1/4 cup each meal) and then still have protein shakes to get in my protein needs)
Hopefully you will get responses from post ops
Topic: RE: 10 Days Postop-What type of weight loss is to be expected?
I'm only 4 days post-op and I still haven't lost the weight I put on after surgery :(
Went into surgery at 288 and weighed in at 300 after surgery. I'm only down to 298. I hope it won't take too long to take that weight off and really start to lose past 288. I'm feeling great, but wish I would at least get below that intial 288.
My other concern is bowel movements. I had a small one in the hosptial on day 2, but since then there has been nothing at all. I'm taking the stool softeners and the colase, but no BM. How long have other post-op folks waited before regular bms?

Topic: First day home
I am 3rd day post op and home. Feeling a little weak and a bit nauseated. Overall, so far, so good. Recovery at the hospital was not bad, pain was very tolerable. Getting up and walking ASAP helped increase my strength and made me feel better and helped to get the gas moving out.
