Wow!
WTG you gals! You are all doing an amazing job!
My 6 month surgiversary will be on 11/26. At this point I'm down about 68 lbs since surgery. I've been battling feeling tired, lately, and haven't lost anything in about 8 weeks. It is beginning to freak me out a little bit. So Kelly, I feel ya, all the way. But I'm still ecstatic with what has happened so far!
Kudos to you all!

Topic: Gosh, I just found this forum!
Silly me, I've been looking to see where I'm at compared to other's who had surgery around my time!
Goodness, I'm going to read over some posts, and get back to you. I've been at a stall since Sept? Not normally a anxious person about this, but am getting so......

It is really easy to lose focus and get discouraged.
Some carb's are necessary for brain function.
Just make sure they are the right kind of carb's.
I am by no means dropping weight as fast as I had anticipated, but I have to remind myself it took me 26+ years to get in the condition I was in at the beginning of my journey, and it wont all melt off overnight.
As hard as it might be to accept, the weight will come off in it's own time.
If this was easy we would all be skinny and healthy RIGHT?
We just have to do what the plan calls for and keep on keeping on!

I can relate. i had surgery on may 4th and have only lost 45 lbs. i have 55 more lbs i need to loose and my NUT made it seem like im setting myself up for that goal for the next 6 month. I feel so discouraged and frustrated. i had huge stalls with my first 6 monts. at one point i didnt loose weight for almost 6 weeks!!!!!!!!! im really focusing now and making sure i get the protein in, water and stay away from the carbs which i know can sabatoge the weight loss. I NEED ENCOURAGEMENT ASAP

I'm in the same place......just completely stopped losing and wondering if this is it!! This CAN'T be it!!!! I need at least 30- 40 more to go!! My hair is falling out also....I'm hoping to start exercising to get things moving again. Don't get me wrong, i'm very happy thus far, but thought it would alittle quicker than it's been.

I feel for you! I haven't lost any weight (except the same pound I keep gaining) in six weeks. I can eat a lot more now but I am still eating WAY WAY less than I did prior to surgery and I watch my carbs/sugar, etc too. I wasn't really exercising, so I have added that back in, but still nothing. Maybe it's just one of those things and it will start again, I'm hoping but like you I am very discouraged!
Don't get me wrong, I lost TONS of weight the first four months, but to have no weight loss in six weeks is disheartening.

Will post next week on the family reaction. Just wish I had a video camera! It's going to be fun!
I have to see my father on Friday. I do not and have not had a relationship with him in probably 15 years. In the last few years, my brother has mended bridges with him (I'm sure they get along great since neither one of them will admit there was ever any problems). Anyway, my brother is in the process of buying a new house and we want to see it. My father is their real estate agent. So, in order to see the house, we have to see my father. I get to flaunt my "skinny ass" to him too! HA!

Well, I haven't lost any weight for over six weeks. It is kind of depressing and I'm trying not to let it get me down. I will be six months out on Nov 15th but I started my liquid diet on May 3rd so as of yesterday I am down 110 pounds in six months. Which is ALOT and I get that, but to not lose ANY weight for six weeks is kind of depressing. Just about that time I went on birth control pills and stopped exercising. So I have gone back to exercising and went off the pill because I am having a hysterectomy on December 9th. YEAH!
I think I also need to work harder at getting all my water in, I don't drink nearly enough and that might be part of my problem. Everyone has done great!

Since my surgery was May 6th, I'm nearly 6 months out. Officially, I'm down 100 pounds since surgery (with 70 pounds gone prior to surgery). I've gone from wearing a 32/34-5X to 22/24-2X. I have to attend my cousin's Bat Mitzvah next weekend and I was able to buy 2 dresses at Macy's (a first for me), one in size 22, the other a 24!
This Bat Mitzvah will be the first time most of my family has seen me in 4 years. Saw my aunt last summer, and was only about 15 or 30 pounds down from my highest weight. My family doesn't know I had surgery and don't know I've been losing weight. I've blacked them out, so to speak of all the good news awaiting this event to surprise them. Heck, I wouldn't even friend my cousin on Facebook so they wouldn't find out (I have pics and updates constantly on there).
My mom (who lives with me and obviously knows) is getting a big kick living vicariously through me. I'm at my lowest weight since early high school, I suppose (20+ years). And if the gym scale this am was accurate, my drivers license is officially no longer a lie!!!!! I'll find out tomorrow at my Weigh****cher weigh-in.
Oh, and Spanx are my new best friend!
I'd say I'm doing pretty good!
