my insurance doesn't pay for anything except the lapband and also I am an RN and I've seen too many complications with patients that has the RNY. So reason two would be safety factor.

We share a surery date! My date is also May1, 2009 @0700. I am having Laproscopic Gastric Bypass performed by Dr. Mark Gibbs in Little Rock Arkansas. Good luck to you on May 1st.

I bought Nectar - my surgeon's office had samples - go to BariatricAdvantage.com - in the Fuzzy Navel flavor - mixes just by stirring with ice - it's really good! Almost like orange juice with a little peach flavor but not as thick! My surgery date is May 1...yea!

I talked to the nurse the otherr day and they have changed my appointment from the 12th of May to the 13th! I was a little bummed but it is only a day so I guess I can deal with that! LOL! I do know now though that it is scheduled for 7:45 am!
