Callorie intake post op
In the paper work I was given from my surgeon it says that up to 2 weeks out the average calorie intake is 200 calories.
Now with 2 protein supplements of injury mixed with milk and the isopure drink, all that they told me I should be drinking that alone is 520 calories, with 96 grams of protein. That is the the calorie range for almost 3 months out.
How am I supposed to get that much protein in and be at 200 calories? I have my first post op Wednesday and will be asking about that. I just don't see how that works.
What is the average that post ops are getting ?
It is amazing how difference all the different programs are from each other.
Hi!
My surgery date is May 26th. I am now 4 days into the liquid diet. I am starting to feel dizzy.. somewhat unwell... is this normal...? is it effects of ketosis?
My diet is protein shakes for breakfast and lunch with apple or yoghurt in between. and dinner is blanched vegetables or salad. Water is about 50 oz daily.
Diligently taking multivitamin with minerals supplement, probiotics and milk thistle.
I'm trying a few variations with my salads and vegetables and running out of ideas...
5 more days to go before the D day!!

I'm still dizzy and lethargic... almost dozing off on my desk too....!! this is really difficult... Especially when hunger creeps in... I try to have half and apple or some salad ... but that only makes my tummy rumbles even more..
The only thing that I like being on the liquid and vegetarian diet is that my complexion glows!! I guess a little detox does have its benefits.
I also feel like my heart is beating faster whenever i walk a little bit more than usual.. maybe that's just anxiety huh...??
Is sleep apnea test necessary for you? My physician suggest for me to do so... I'm still trying to decide..

i still can't seem to be able to get the weight ticker thingy in....?? help...!
I do not remember being dizzy at all but I was so sleepy it was very hard to work on the 3rd day of the liquid diet. (on my diet I am not allowed any fruit because there is to much sugar in fruit)
Get your blood checked, anemia will make you tired, heart beat faster and pound in your chest, and will also make you dizzy and nauseous. But worst of all it can cause heart problems and keep you from having surgery. GOOD LUCK!
