11 Days until the day MAY 6

So I found out on Thrudays that I am having the surgey on May 6!!! Kinda freakin' out about this.  How is everyone getting ready for it?  Any tips?

I'm having my surgery on May 6 also.  Keep reading the boards.  You learn a lot.  Don't freak out. Just trust that this is going to be the best thing you've every done for yourself.  Keep in touch.

My date is May 5th and I am in the middle of my 2 week pre~op diet. I perpaired a Will, got my advanced medical directive filed and wrote letters to my family(not that I am not planning on being just fine, but this is major surgery). I have my vite's bought and a few different types of protien suppliments. I have stock piled crystal light, s/f popcicles and s/f jello. I still have to get the gas~x strips and a few other needs for the hospital. I am as ready as I can be, just need it to hurry up and get to be May 5th.

Hello my surgery is May 6th so best wishes. I noticed you used a term medical directive any particular reason why a are you a (JW) by any chance. I am here in wilmington de.  Im getting nervous but by reading the different post it is reassuring. Keep in touch and Im sure all will go well with you.

on monday I was told my surgery would be may 14th and today they called and changed it to may 6th. right now i am excited not nervous but i am sure that i will go back and forth. good luck to all of us...

YEAH, we can be surgery buddies.  I think now that there are 6 days until the day I am getting better.  Just have to move the recliner into the living room so i can live in that for a couple of days..  Let me know if you need anyone to talk to   Good Luck
