May 1 surgery date

My surgery date is May 1.  I'm nervous, anxious, excited and happy all at the same time.  I have a hard time believing that I can have the success I see in others.  But, I'm determined to keep going forward !

My surgery ate is May 1, too I know exactly what u are feeling.. i dread the 10-day liquid diet the most..i have had pretty good luck finding some protein shakes i like mostly  i used bariatricchoice.com and bariatriceating.com and also vitalay.com...Best of luck on your surgery

We have the same surgery date!  How are you doing on the pre-op diet?  Are you allowed food on yours or just liquid protein drinks?  I  am on Unjury protein drinks but I get some food too, and I'm very thankful for that.  The countdown is on.  Best Wishes!

We have the same surgery dte and I start my 10 day liquid diet on Tues. I'm hoping it won't be too bad bcuz we can have broth, yogurt, SF applesauce, yogurt smoothies (Dannon Light, carb & sugar control) and I drink Crystal Light and I also found some Powerade Zero and don't foget popsicles and fudgesicles and jeello and I have sent off for protein samples so have quite a bit so I think it will be fine    linda

My surgery date is May 1st!  I am not too nervous at this time, but i have a feeling the closer time gets the more nervous i will be.  I am so excited to start this life change.  I know what you mean about not believing you can have as much success as other people.  We just have to work hard at it!  Good Luck!

We share a surery date! My date is also May1, 2009 @0700. I am having Laproscopic Gastric Bypass performed by Dr. Mark Gibbs in Little Rock Arkansas. Good luck to you on May 1st.
