Hey--glad you are home and well. I had RNY on Monday , home on Wed. afternoon. I am on full liquids. I still have a LOT of gas--when might this pass????? Also--cool liquids feel like they tghten my belly when they go down...any one else have this issue??

Donna, I am guessing you have already answered your own question. All of the things you listed are all going on. This is a great time of change with anticipation. You may be mourning the loss of weight to come, but also mourning the things that will not ever be again...I have surgery on Monday and I have noticed today that I have these little thoughts going through my brain about NOT eating certain things again---seems I have seen the Pizza Hut pasta ads today several times! TOO much fat--dumping problems. Our decision is a life changing major event, we are expected to have lots of emotions--it is normal. Reach out to your support people. You will be okay. My friend started his vacation today he will be gone when my surgery is done, My surgery is the 19th of this month. He told me today the he will never see me anymore like he sees me today, WOW!!!! what an eyeopening statement,I don't know where the ocean of emotions came from, I feel really weird, I don't know if I am depressed, happy, or exactly what I am right now! Is it possible to mourn your weight loss before it happens?Or am I just afraid of the changes that I know will take place?Is this the first time that it has really hit me that things will never be the same? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP THAT YOU COULD GIVE ME, TO HELP ME UNDERSTAND THESE FEELINGS.

My surgery was canceled due to my BMI was to high, now i have to do a high protein low carbs for a month, trying to lose 25 plds in 4 weeks, wish me luck, I am going to give it my all. Any pointers would be helpful.
