I'm in your same boat--I am having surgery Monday May 12. I'm so excited and can't wait. I have 2 friends that had the surgery too with my same surgeon and they have done so well, that they are my inspiration. I'm just trying to make sure I follow all the rules and make sure I remember everything I'm supposed to do! Good luck to all of us! :-p

Hi Frank, I don't really think I'm old just that here on the boards mostly everyone is 20s and 30s. I am doing really well no problems eating feeling better every day and I do believe that I am going in to work on Monday. Sitting at my desk will probably be easier on me than trying to do stuff at home that I shouldn't! With 4 year olds I'm sure your home life is a heck of a lot more hectic than mine. my "babies" are 25 and 21. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine a lot of doing well is in your head you can do it! Hi Kat I hope all goes well for you with the tests next week, I am sure they will be fine. I was worried about having mine but despite showing a couple of problems, they said it was nothing they couldn't handle so surgery still going ahead. My tests were last Tuesday, just got results on Thursday and it was a real sense of relief. Now I just have to worry about the op...lol I really hope you get your surgery date soon. Thank you for adding me as a friend, I think it really does help having people out there who understand exactly what this is all about. Keep in touch and we can see how each other is getting on. There wont really be anyone who can come and stay with me after the op for the first few days after I get out, but figuring I will probably be sleeping lots and coming on here to see what's happening. Why doesn't anyone mention the excrutiating pain in the first 5-6 days after heving the RNY proceedure by the open method??
