Topic: RE: post op
Hey Frank, its "old" Cheryl. I had my RNY on May 5th and I was back at my desk on the 12th. I am a little more tired when I get home than I used to be but it really isn't too bad. But I don't have to deal with two four year olds! It is doable if you are feeling really well after surgery. Everyone is different though. I am following every rule to the letter. My mind is not quite as sharp and it is taking longer to complete things at work but they won't get done at all if I'm not here.
Topic: RE: What not to do 3 days before surgery!
Hi Jayne
Today is your day!!Good luck and best wishes.
The memorial page is so sad. Before my surgery may 2/08, I was so focused on would I survive that I did not really think about after the surgery. So far so good.
Have a pain free and uneventful recovery!!

Hi
Thank you for the information. I am 12 days out. I understand what you mean about the low amount of water you ingest. I have a timer to reming myself every 15 mins to drink.

Topic: RE: Insurance coverage help needed
Call each of the insurance companies, find out if either of the procedures is even "allowed" on the policy.
I have bcbsnc and got denied after all of the testing. they kept "requesting more information" from the Dr. when they had all of the information they needed sent to them. I think they were just stalling. when the 30 days was up, they denied mine. my BMI is 36, with no other problems.
I was heart broken, so, I wrote them a letter, I told them "everything" I felt, and even ask them if I had a heart attack/stroke or worse because of the weight, were they going to deny me benefits then too?? I faxed it ---They called me!!! and approved it immediatly!!!!
Topic: RE: Anyone on Weigh****chers too???
I wouldn't exactly be worried Arlene. A gal I work with, who was a WW leader, said to eat small portions of the necessary foods & quit at 4 oz. You can eat alot of salad for 4 oz. I do like what I'm eating now on WW. Something you may tell your leader is that you had LB surgery and how can WW help you along. I'm feeling better since I saw my leader.
Anyone else on WW that had Lap Band surgery????

Good luck to you! It'll be an exciting day! I was scared and nervous but incredibly happy at the same time.

Topic: Looking at options
Hi: My sister-in-law was thinking of having lap band surgery but has now decided she would like to consider gastric bypass surgery. She is very anxious to speak to people who have had the gbs. She does not have a computer so would need to communicate by phone. If you would be willing to speak with her, please email me and either I could give you her number or you could give me yours. She would be so appreciative. Thank you. My email is: [email protected]
