As the old song goes, Don't worry be happy! Soon you will be more beautiful than you already are. Make sure you have everything you will need at home, vita. foods, liq. meausreing cups, and a sexy night gown for down the road. lol. I really mean that one, you will need it. It is hard to say not to worry, but I am not in your shoes until Wednesday. My prayers and good wishes go with you, and I am sure everything will go fine. By this time next month you will already look different, so get the needle and thread ready to take in those clothes. If you need someone to talk to just look me up. I am a stranger to you, but I too will be having surgery this week, so I will think of you and be there for you on the computer Good Luck and May the Force be with you Medina

Hi Jayne I always drank water room temp before surgery. Now, post WLS (16 days out), I drink bottled water, and cold from the fridge. I have found it soothing. Maybe that would help. Take care, Di

Hi Jayne, I haven't needed any pain medicine, not even in the hospital. My pouch hates water LOL, but like warm liquids. It fusses at anything cold so I'm doing warm/hot tea which seems to sooth it. I feel pretty good and am going to start walking outside today. Shelia

hi Sheila, I came home on Friday from my RNY. The pain hasn't been intolerable. I take my pain medicine once a day, just before bed. I'm a bit more sore than usual today. Warm liquids are my favorite right now. I am dreaming of a poached egg. Jayne

Topic: RE: Seriously - can one person have this much gas?
I am pre op and read that the odor can be controlled by a product called DEVROM, Google and you will hopefully find the answer for odor problems. I was excited to find the product. I have an office job and it would be totally unacceptable if I had that problem. It will not help the gas, I have read that the GAS X strips help. Hope this gives you some hope it did me. Sincerely, Nancygp
