Topic: RE: hair loss??
Hi Sue,
This is commonwhen you are having a significant weight loss in a short period of time. good news -it's temporary and shouldlast about a month. They suggested to us adding Biotin or flaxseed oil to take temporarily until it appears that is coming back. I don't know if you have had children -but the same thing can happen after you have given birth -you are not on the wonderful prenatal vitamins -an you had a REALLY sudden weight loss. Soon you will be able to do a total make over from head to toe!

Topic: RE: Surgery was May 14th need help with meds
I take several pills a night. My husband pulverizes them with a mortar and pestle and I mix them in a tiny med cup with a couple teaspoons of water, drink that down, add some more water stip it up and swallow again. One of my pills, lexapro was so disgusting that I had my psychiatrist give me a prescription for the liquid form.
BTW, we share surgery dates!!

Topic: RE: i was cancelled
that's good they had you wait. My Mom went in 5 yrs ago to have RNY and had a small cold going into surgery. After she had surgery, it turned into pneumonia and all sorts of complications. She had a collapsed lung and had to be on a feeding tube, just some of the crap she had to go through. She racked up tons of money in hospital and doctor bills (she was self pay) and was in and out of the hospital and dr's office for 6 months!
She literally almost died from complications and she looked awful when I finally did see her. I lived 7 hrs away and as soon as I heard she was sick, I drove right down to see her and she looked horrible. I don't think she told the doctor she was sick pre-op and she had to fly from UT to NC, so I think she didn't want to cancel her flight and surgery because of a little cold. Little did she know that doing that would really jeopardize her health post op!
Just be glad the doctors are watching out for your health and rescheduled it! GL!
