Topic: RE: May 5th wls people. How is your weight loss going? :type:
Thank you Heidi for sharing that with me because that is what my weight is doing. I was getting depressed thinking maybe i was doing something wrong, or that the wls was not working right and that i may have to get a revision. This makes me feel a little better. Debra

Hi, May 5th wls people or others really close to that date. I am wondering about your weight loss, how quick is the weight coming off and have you got to a point yet that the weight loss has almost stopped. I am asking because i am not sure if i am doing something wrong. For the last week or maybe a little longer i have not lost but 2 lbs and that comes and goes from day to day. Thanks for your input, Debra

Topic: RE: Gall Bladder removal vs RNY
I wish I had seen this earlier... I had a really bad recovery from Gallbladder surgery 5 years ago...2 weeks of percocets and bed. This time I felt great and was off pain meds on day 5. I think its because when you go to a general surgeon they do everything and a bariatric surgeon does only WLS. So they could probably do it blindfolded. I know thats the reason WLS has less complications than gallbladder surgery. It was on 60 minutes. I hope your wife does well... good luck. I hope she has a good recovery like me....Lauren

Topic: RE: soft food recipe - YUMMY!
Lisa, I did not have a mush stage. I went from full liquids to soft food (eggs, tuna salad, refried beans, other ground food). This recipe would probably count as mush! enjoy, Jayne

Yum! Thanks for passing that on. I start mush tomorrow, and soft in two weeks. I'll definately try this!

Topic: RE: POST OP PAIN
Yes, you are not alone! I had RNY on 5/14 and almost a month out I still have a touch of that pain here and there. Mine is also on the left side of my abdomen. It was the worst the first 2 weeks, week three was a turning point and as I am in week 4 it's just a now and then thing. This too shall pass! Hang in there...you'll feel better soon!

Topic: RE: Liquid Protein
I stumbled across this stuff called "Proslam45" made by CNP. http://cnp-professional.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=51&osCsid=725ed7f261 033eac4473c957e238c09b I saw it in an ad in the OH magazine in my doctor's office. I bought a few vials at GNC but they were expensive, just about $4 each, but you only have to drink ONE 3 ounce vial to get HALF your day's protein. They had peach and lime. I liked both. I went online and bought 2 cases of 12 each and I paid $78 including shipping. Go to a GNC store to try it. Then if you like it, to save money, buy it online. Hopes this helps.javascript:setMainIcon('smile',15,15)

This is the stuff I drink. http://cnp-professional.com/osc/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=51&osCsid=725ed7f261 033eac4473c957e238c09b It has 45 grams of protein in only 3 ounces of sweet, syrupy-like liquid. Don't worry, it has NO CARBS and NO FAT. Two of these a day and you have ALL of your protein. They do sell them at GNC by the individual vial, but it is expensive: $4 each. I prefer to buy it online. You can get 12 vials including shipping for about $39, which is about $3 a vial. I just bought 24 online and paid $78. Hope this helps.

How's everyone doing on our first month anniversary? It has been quite the month, I am happy to report I have lost a total of 41 pounds, 27 pounds since surgery.
