I am three months out the 20th and down 78 lbs and from a 28 to a 20/22... woohoo! Able to tolerate almost anything except chicken and beef so I am living off egg beaters, soup and oddly enough cheese and yogurt. I was feeling a bit sluggish at times but added the cheese to up my calories and I am feeling fine! Glad to see you're doing so well!!!

Hmmmmm...sorry Bren wish I could help!! I've felt bloated from time to time but that's either "aunt flow's" fault or just not drinking enough water. Have you called your doc's office yet? If its causing discomfort or pain I would ASAP! Been gassy or burbin' a lot lately too? Maybe its just a bout of gas? I go thru that A LOT!!!

michele, that is my understanding as well. my doc has never said one way or the other just to limit it. I've also heard it can make you feel hungry...probably due to the whole diretic cause. I stayed away for maybe a few weeks? and even then I switched from espresso to regular coffee and 16oz. a day instead of 24oz. I mix mine with chocolate sf instant carnation bfast and skim milk to get protein in as well...makes me feel better about drinking the caffeine.

Hey Jon! Glad to hear your first 3-months have been such a success! I too have not followed a "no or limited caffeine" rule but I have switched from espresso to regular coffee if that helps anything. and I only drink 16oz.'s a day instead of at least 24oz. I myself have lost 55#...half way to my goal (if that truly ends up being my goal) and I've lost way more in inches, over 70 inches last time I checked. I am able to tolerate way more than I thought at this point which I am not sure if that's good or bad. I haven't been super great on the exercise but I'm getting there. I love getting rid of big clothes and fitting into regular sizes and most of all to see ppl's faces and hear their comments on noticing that I've lost weight. I love my RNY!

Greetings,

I am 90 days out from RNY surgery and am down 50 pounds. Today I weighed in at 215.

I am paying for not following the "no (or limited) caffeine" recommendations. I have been irritable lately. I need to reduce my intake, no doubt.

I am surviving on yogurt or eggs for breakfast, a protein bar for lunch, doctor recommended Gatorade G-2 (low cal) and my 64 ounces of water. I will have a small portion of meat or chicken when I can hold it down.

The surgery has been a blessing, my diabetes is gone (no more taking 3 meds and 2 insulin shots a day), I sleep better, I have more energy, and I have lost about 6 sizes on my waist.

How is everyone else doing this month?

My 3 month is the 20th. I am down 59 pounds. I also had to go back in at 1 month out and have hernia surgery so that put me behind a couple of weeks.

My 3 mo. mark was Aug.5th....I seem to be on the same page as you...Tilapia so far is THEE only fish I've been able to eat. I can't tolerate ANY type of meat!! I'm down from 240 to 175....that's at least a little comfort,lol. I live on SF ice pops, 1/2 yogurt a day, and Unjury soup. Go to their web site, Unjury.com and order samples. The soup sits well and is not as bad as plain broths. I bought new pants this week that are a SIZE 16!!!! Not sure I've seen those numbers since I turned 16...heehee...keep up the good work, and don't fret about the extra skin yet. Get the weight off and worry about that at the next stage. Thats great on your success! i too am down 70 since my highest of 348. only 50 since the surgery. im down to 275. from a 28 to a size 22. i am so happy. yesterday i had to put an extra whole in one of my belts to make keep my pants up. Continue the success and keeping posting.
