The stalls will happen as we are losing weight so fast our bodies need that occasionally week or two to play catch up. I've had a few of them and just kept doing what I was doing and I popped out of them losing another 6-7#.

I had my RNY surgery on May 14th.I started at 287 the day of surgery and as of this morning I am down to 202 thats 85 pounds in less the four months I am happy about that. I am not getting much protein in at all I eat tilapia, cheese, skim milk, cottage chesse and black beans thats it I don't want to eat I eat because I have too.I am not exercising the way I want to because I get so dizzy. I can walk but no aerobic activity yet .Hopefully I can get more protein in so I can really start to work out.No tips here I can't do the protein shakes either the make me soooo sick.Congratulations on your success best wishes.

Patricia,
My surgery was on May 14th. I just found out last Tuesday that I also have a marginal ulcer. How are you doing with yours? Is it healed yet. The gastroenterologist prescribed carafate. I was already taking protonix. I quit eating spicy stuff.
The biggest hint that something was going wrong was the problem I was having drinking water. I showed the surgeon exactly where is was hurting (halfway between my waist and chest and a bit to the right of center) and she thought it might be a marginal ulcer. The upper G.I. showed nothing, but the endoscopy found it.
Liquids are going down easier now. My drugstore gave me what they had of the liquid carafate and ordered some more. They were unable to get any more liquid and gave me chewable tablets. I don't know how they will be - the liquid was working so well.
Please let me kinow how you are doing.

I dread the thought of trying to eat. I force the protein shakes down. I am having terrible dizzy spells (passed out and fell even - all banged up bad).
No ideas sorry. I am just suffering through it. A gentleman I met who is 5 years out says it does get better, but I am wondering W H E N ????? haha It beats being overweight I guess.
I am stalled at 192 but sooooo thrilled that I made it to ONDERLAND so quickly just not thrilled about how I got here. I am 47 pounds from goal (145 which will be skinny for me since I am 5' 8"). I will be thrilled to end up 150-160 range but totally happy at 170.
All I can advise you is to HANG IN THERE! My friend in Canada suffered terribly for about 3 months then one day she was just fine. Stick to softer well cooked veggies for now (like peas & green beans). I eat a lot of potato soup (homemade) and veggie beef soup (like campbells). I also eat a lot of yogurt and cottage cheese. I just hope I do not develop permanent health problems because of this. I am 54.5 years old. DR says all of my bloodwork is in the normal range. My BP which was always NORMAL is so much lower but still considered normal. I am not losing hair and my fingernails are growing like crazy so I must be OK with protein intake?
I have experienced "dumping" several times. Boy is that HORRIBLE!!!! But ate some no sugar added ice cream (butter pecan & cashew) with no ill effects whatsoever (GO FIGURE). I do not miss food or even desire it.
I have not tried any of the fancy protein bars etc. I am able to eat oatmeal and cheerios now.
Best wishes to you Keep in touch!
