Topic: RE: 4 Months Out-RNY May 16th
Congratulations!
I had my RNY May 15th. I am losing my hair. I have upped biotin and protein as much as I can. I haven't noticed a slow down, but here's hoping I will soon.
I have lost 93 pounds. I hope to lose about 28-48 pounds more. It's amazing the changes you go through as the weight comes off.

My doctor reccomended a Pepicd AC (one 20 mg tablet) at night before bed. it has helped tremendously! I also drink a full 16 oz of water with that pill. Hope that helps. Good luck~

I use Whey Gourmet Arctic Cappucino Frappe.... I get it at www.bariatriceating.com . It tastes like a Starbuck's coffee...no joke.. YUMMY. I mix it with water and a little sugar free caramel syrup. It's the only one I really really like :)

Congratulations on your weight loss. Isn't it great to have so much energy and to do stuff without all the aches and pains? I just started to tolerate protein shakes I do chocolate Isopure shakes without the mixer I just mix it by hand with skim milk.It took me until about two weeks ago to get them down without getting sick. Just keep trying and hopefully it willl just happen.Good Luck.

You should try protein bars, I cant stand any of the protein powder shakes but I love the atkins protein bars and there shakes are great to most of them have 1gram of sugar less than 5 carb and between 15 and 18 grams of protein and they are so yummy. you should try them. I usually go to my regular grocery store to purchase them.

Congrats on your loss! I will be 5 months out on the 28th, and I am currently down 90 pounds!! I feel great too! I still have issues with the protein shakes, I just can not find one that I like for more than a few days. I have been trying to just drink more milk, but that doesn't always get me where I need to be. I still struggle with getting in all my fluids, but I have ALWAYS been like that.
I can't believe that I am coming up on 5 months!!!

I'm doing really well. I'm down 73 lbs. I'm sooo active now and I love it! :) I've dumped 4 times so far, but other than that everythings great. Stupid peppermints. LOL
How's everyone else doing?
I haven't lost any hair. I use "Fitday" to track all my food and nutrients each day. It helps a lot. I also keep up with my exercise on Fitday.
I was depressed and frustrated this past month, but after seeing my nutritionist I'm very encouraged. :)

Topic: 5 months out
Well I made my 100 pound mark by my fifth month anniversary I am down 102 pounds. I started out at 287 and I am down to 185 yeah.I went from a tight 24 to a 14. I have 50 pounds to go to my goal weight which is 135. My nutritionist said I probably won't go that low but I beg to differ. I am starting to slow down in my weight loss which is great because of the skin issue. I have a lot on my stomach and arms. I didn't think I would have an arm issue but I do and I am disappointed about that. My tolerance to the protein drink has finally gotten better. I have actually been taking all my 70 grams of protein now for about two weeks through my isopure drink. That is a big relief and I am starting to feel much better not as tired. I still only eat fish, cheese, eggs, cottage cheese, beans, some veggies, salad and soup. I am trying little things one at a time and still have no appetiite which is a first for me. I still attend the pre op support group and post op support group meetings I find it to be therapy for me. I am exercising about three to four times a week doing as much as I can and getting stronger by the week.I hope everyone else is doing good. I Hope everyone is enjoying their new life as much as I am.I would love to hear how everyone is doing.
