Well I think I probably went through a stall once through my journey but now I haven't ,I think I'm loosing to much weight I went from 243 pre-op to 154 now post op and the weight just keep flying off and I wish I could slow it down a little I'm scared I'm going to be underweight by the time I stop loosing. They say you could keep loosing weight until your a year to 18 months after wls and its only been almost 6 months for me.

Topic: What's the length of your common channel and the size of your sleeve?
I'm curious to how long your surgeon made your common channel and your experience with it, as well as how big they made your sleeve...

My common channel is supposed to be 125 cm to help eliminate some of the stool issues... though I'm not sure of the size of sleeve....

tell me tell me...

I want to know everything about your experience and if there was a big difference in the total weight loss depending on the size of each....

My surgery is in 2 weeks!!!!! December 1st, if my big day!!!

Topic: RE: May 5th wls people. How is your weight loss going? :type:
Hi all, I've lost 90 lbs. since May 5, 2008, but I am still on Stage 1 with eating. Everyone tells me how good I look, but at what cost? I eat anything other than soups and ice pops and I vomit???? I'm getting very depressed about it now. I'm not hungry, but I would love to have sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving!!! :}

My surgery was May 5, 2008 and I have lost 90 lbs. so far....however...it's been really tough. Everything makes me vomit. I live on ice pops and soups! Getting boring!!!  I'm having a procedure next week thats supposed to show how and where the food is going....anyone else have it like this? My doctor doesn't seem concerned???

I can hear some frustration.  My surgeon said that one loses about 80% of exceess weight the first year and that the remaining in the 2nd year.  I understand the backsliding.  It certainly has been a life changing experience.  I hope you have good support.  I used to live to drink my diet soda, but I gave it up before surgery and have not fallen back into the habit.  I replaced it with Crystal Light.  I encourage you to stay the course and do what you have to in your daily schedule to put you and your needs at a higher priority.  YOU CAN DO IT!  I believe in you.  Blessings

Hi Kingschild, how are you. Boy 196 sounds really nice.I can't wait until I cross the 200 mark. I'm currently at 225.6. I started at 316 when I had the lapband but that wasn't working fast and efficient enough for me so I went to the gastric bypass. I still have a lot more to loose. My goal is 140 but my surgeon suggested 180. Do you exercise regularly? I need more energy.

Topic: RE: Anyone have problems with gallbladder after wls?
My surgeon takes the gallbladder out when he performs the bypass because he said rapid weight loss can cause stones so it is taken out no matter what at the time of the bypass. Sorry I can't answer the weight loss question. I hope this helps.

Yep...my weightloss has almost stopped.  It's SO FRUSTRATING!  Not that my weightloss has stopped, but that I know if I exercise and drink more water the pounds would start coming off again.  Such a simple concep****er, exercise, eat healthy.  But SO HARD to do!  *sigh*  I'm down 74lbs.  My close friend that had her surgery 2 weeks before me is already down 100 lbs.

My surgery date was May 19th.  I'm doing okay.  My weightloss has almost stopped.  I've lost 74 lbs. so far.  This last pound took me 3 weeks to lose.  *sigh*
I'm having such trouble exercising consistently each day.
I'm taking all my vitamins each day.
I'm struggling with my water intake again and diet cokes have become a problem again.  :(

Regina - great job on your weight loss.  :)

I finally lost another pound (after several weeks).  I'm at 196 now.  Boy, it's really slowed down for me.  *sigh*
