I am not having RNY but am having VSG on May 5 so I wanted to let you know that I will be sending positive thoughts to your surgeon on the 6th. Anxious and scared is normal so take something with you that comforts you. I am 41 and will be taking my butterfly pillow to hug when it is over.

Way to go Lauren, sounds like you have done your research, that is what made this process easier for me. I am almost 11 months out, quickly approaching my one year anniversary...

Hello all my fellow maysters! I have been on the OH board for several months now and never realized that there was a section for surgery dates. Nice to be around folks that will be going through the same situations post-op. Good luck to all and Lauren keep us posted!

I am definatley going to keep everyone posted... I'm going to have my husband post while I'm in the hospital. Don't mind him he can be a dork...I'll give you all fair warning...lol...he tends to be a jokster, but in a good way. I'm sure he'll tell you all the crazy things I said and did while coming out of anesthesia..lol...and while I'm hooked up to the drip. I get really mean on the drip...lol... good luck to EVERYONE. I'll be thinking of you all.
