Topic: RE: WHO'S ON THE LIQUID DIET?
I started mine today and I keep telling myself it has not been that bad. But I am hungry and I need to drink more water, but I figure I am just going to go to bed early tonight and do it again tomrrow. Fortunately I own my own business, so there is no one to bring in food for lunch and I live alone, so again there will be no one to cook tonight. I think that is what will get me through this is not having to really smell food. It sucks, I will agree there, but in the end it will be a nice start to the next step.

I am getting nervous too. I am 2 weeks away. I knew you were a few days before me, but I know where you are at. It is just little things for me that are making me nervous. Like being spread eagle on a table/bed for the world to see, silly huh, but that makes me more nervous than the surgery itself. Ahh well it will be worth it.

Topic: Hello Everyone!!
I am new to the forums. My name is Jessy, and I am having my surgery on May 28th!
I am a mom of 3, and we live in Illinois. I can't WAIT to finally have this done, and be able to keep up with my active boys!

Lauren, Your feelings are normal....although I know this doesn't help you cope at this moment. LOL. A suggestion: if you like to write, then journal. It is a great way to let those anxieties fly away!!!!!! Just write what you are living at the moment present. This mindful intention will help you cope better. Another trick is deep deep breathing. Inhale counting slowing to five and hold 15 sec. then exhale slowly counting til five until you feel pressure in your thorax. Do that at least 7 to 10 times. What that does is slow your breathing down and relaxes you. Good luck and you'll see everything should go well.

Nancy Phi, Your kind words and experience gave me hope...... thanks so much for taking the time to reassure me and put things back into perspective. I am feeling better today.....I won,t be a Mayster but I am determined to be a WL winner! I am seeing the internist this week. Started betablockers. Apparently, they think it is due to a viral infection from my pneumonia! Go figure! My heart muscle aren't functioning effeciently. A little lazy as the doc mentionned. LOL. Thanks again!
