You are so lucky they found this. I'm waiting for my stress test next week. When I went to see the cardiologist and he learned that my father died of a massive heart attack at 53, he decided that he wanted to do my stress test within three weeks of my surgery. Everything else is ready to go for my May 14th date. I don't anticipate any problems, though I dread all that walking. You'll be joining us when your heart is ready. We'll save some space on the loser's bench.

My date is May 12th also I am so nervous, excited and scared I dont know which way to turn lol good luck! I know I cant wait and that its not getting here soon enough ill keep you in my thoughts

I have to do a 4 week diet my surgery is on May 13th. For me I have to drink 5 optifast per day and have one small meal that is 4oz. of meat and a cup pf veggies. Its not too hard to do so far and its very important because it makes your liver smaller before surgery.

My EGD is on Monday the 28th and I am not nervous about it at all but I am still really scared of the surgery. Let us all know how it goes I hear that it is easy and doesn't even hurt because you will be so medicated.

Me too!! In Boston, MA - I started the pre-op diet yesterday. They said at least 2 weeks and I put on like 15 pounds during my "last supper" phase, so another week is a good thing for me!!

Going for my endoscopy tomorrow. I think that makes me more nervous than the surgery does. Anyone do this already? Is it easy? Hope so.

My surgery date is May 6. I tried to start my diet on Monday. I ate a chicken leg last night. should I call my nurse to change my surgery date? What protein shakes are good tasting? If i can't do the pre-op diet, I know I'll have a hard time after surgery.
