Wow I am getting nervous...the day after tomorrow this time I'll be on the loosers bench... my friend Erin had hers done today and she called me and said its a peice of cake... I hope so...she sounded great. I can't wait to go visit her tomorrow....

And with no time to spare they finally called me back at 10:20 (appt. was at 10:45) to say that it should be ok to go ahead with OptiFast for only 1week and keep surgery next Tuesday! WooooHoooo! 
So now comes the hard part...DOING the liquid diet. I guess I can have raw veggies w/out sauce or dip, lettuce w/out dressing (why would you?!), low cal chicken or beef broth, SF low cal pudding or gelatin. So that is my pre-op diet. Yeah!

Wow!
My surgery is 5/6 and I've done the same thing! My knee is really hurting and I refuse to go to the ortho ----- I'm just trying to suck it up and get through without complaining. I"m not sure I'll make it - today the knee is really bad. I keep alternating ice and heat hoping to confuse my brain and not feel the pain. It's not really working that well!

Hi Connie, Your surgery is exactly 6 days before mine. Good luck and hope your have VERY minimal pain (with your surgery and your knee). Let us know how you do. Debbi

OOOH cheese burgers mmmmm! My down fall was Mt. Dew. Got off of that cold turkey (which I didn't think I could). Enjoy your cheeseburger and pizza. Hey, at least you're having crystal lite. I've still got a few more days. When is your surgery?
