Hi All Wow, I had RNY done laparscopically on Friday am and I am happy to be home today May 5th . I was up walking around the next day. I started the full fluid bariatric diet today. I was on the clear fluid bariatric diet on Sunday. For Friday and Saturday I was allow 30 mls of water every hour. I am very happy to say that I have had very little pain. I was sent home with no pain killers as I haven't had anything since last night. All I can say is how very terrified I was before the surgery. I am so glad it is over and so far (I do not want to jinx myself) everything is going fine. Best wishes to all, and Best of luck to everyone who has their surgery coming up. My pre-op is May 14th. I am not required to do a post op diet except for the day before surgery. I guess they will do all of my blood work on May 14th. I will be there all day. Nancy

pre op was stressfull ,, i was nervous and ughh my normally fine blood pressure went up so they were freaking made me a apt for another dr ( it was fine when i went ) and they were so concerned with that i feel like i missed somethings im thinking about calling them, took loads of blood out im black and blue still and my arm is hurting. let me know how your making out , done pre ops yet? how long are you to do liquid diet? christi

Congratulations Lauren and welcome to the Loser's Bench! The gas pains were the worst for me too but once that past I was feeling great. Just keep sipping and walking and taking it easy. Donna
