Happy 3 Years!
Hi everyone. No one has even posted here for almost a year and a half. Thought I would check in; maybe it will be another year and a half before anyone posts here again.
I am below my 'expected' outcome weight of 215. I am fluctuating between 190-195. But for me the weight on the scale is not the issue; for the more time out we are from surgery, the clearer our perspective becomes. The RNY was a life-changer: no diabetic medications, no high BP, no sleep apnea, etc. My quality of life has improved significantly--that is until 8 months ago. I have been having joint and muscle pain and after a host of labs, x rays, exams, etc, they attribute it to a bacterial overgrowth somewhere in my GI tract as a result of the RNY. Anti-biotics hasn't worked so here I sit looking at a possible RNY reversal as a last resort to try and become pain free. I'll let you know how it turns out. Despite the misery of the past 8 months, I'd have the surgery again. Hope everyone is blessed.
