Anastamotic Ulcers ?

It hursts to swallow anything past mashed potatoes. I had an EGD done, and they found anastimotic ulcers. Is there anyone with this, and how have you dealt with this?

hi, I have been having lots of problems drinking water - it really hurts. I saw my surgeon yesterday. She thinks I have a maginal ulcer. She put me on Protonix and I am having an upper G.I. on Tuesday. Jayne

I was prescribed Prevacid, and it seemed to work. I hope you feel better. I can tolerate a lot more now.

I found an article about it. Still all ulcers are an over acidification from something, probably the surgery. I follow an alkalarian diet to avoid ulcers at all costs....if you think, drink, and eat green the ulcer can heal itself... www. phmiracleliving.com
