Home from the Hospital....

Came home today 2 days post op for my RNY and I'm doin ok, just kinda tired and sore.

hi Sheila, I came home on Friday from my RNY. The pain hasn't been intolerable. I take my pain medicine once a day, just before bed. I'm a bit more sore than usual today. Warm liquids are my favorite right now. I am dreaming of a poached egg. Jayne

Hi Jayne, I haven't needed any pain medicine, not even in the hospital. My pouch hates water LOL, but like warm liquids. It fusses at anything cold so I'm doing warm/hot tea which seems to sooth it. I feel pretty good and am going to start walking outside today. Shelia

Welcome home! I am still tired at times and am 16 days out lap rny. I find the walking helps. And it is great for healing post op. TAke CAre Di

Glad you are home. Two days post op, great!!!! I had rny on 05-05-08 and came home on 05-08-08, so not too bad, but I have pain in my left side that won't quite go away. Everyone tells me it needs to heal, but when I try to walk, I about double over. If I am not walking, not so much pain, but I know walking is important. Wanted to congratulate you, and wish you best of luck.
