2 weeks out update....and weekly weigh-in....
Well I am 2 weeks out and feeling GREAT. I have lost 13 lbs sinnce surgery. My Dr. is very pleased. He said some people loose to fast in the begining and it causes extra skin problems. He said the way I'm going and my age I shouldn't have to worry about my arms and legs.... whew..he said my tummy will have to be done thanks to my children...lol...and a breast lift or implants if I want. LOL my husband is already saving for the boob job... Also I got my diet advancment today.... who would've thought tuna and chicken would taste so good. I couldn't finnish my 2 oz of chicken. and after 1/4 cup of tuna I was feeling full. It feels so good to be eating real food... I hope everyone else is doing great...I saw other boards doing weekly weigh-ins so I thought maybe we could start doing it on Wed.'s. The middle of the week...I will be the first.
Before program 332lbs
Day of Surgery 307lbs
today 294lbs
-38lbs
Lauren, great to hear from you, so glad you are doing so well. I am 10 days out and I can't wait to see the doc on the 22nd and get advanced. Still retaining a lot of water so my weight loss is a little less than you but I am HAPPY!
Cheryl
Here goes:
Before program 298
Day of surgery 286
Today 279
-19lbs
Thats great.... once everyone gets rolling the weekly weigh-ins will be fun...and we'll be able to encourage each other through stalls...and give each other pats on the back for jobs well done... I am so glad to have all of you. Thanks to everyone for the encouragment. We all are going to rock... next Wed. I will do the weigh-in in the am... good luck to everyone going in this week and have a healthy good recovery...... Lauren
Hey Lauren,
Good to hear everything is going well. I have not stepped on the scale since I came home from the hospital. I did that day figuring I would have lost and damn if I did not gain 5 pounds. So I said "f" it and I am not stepping on a scale until my 2 week visit on Monday. So I will post then and weigh myself on Wednesday and post then too.
I'm 1 week out and my surgeon said I can start soft foods. So I did. I had some tuna and lettuce. It took more than 2 oz to fill me up. I'm scared. I wonder if this surgery is going to work for me. I thought I would take two bites and be full, but I kept eating and eating and still not full. Have you or anyone else had these fears?
I would appreciate anyone telling me about their first experience with food.
Thanks.
