Home from Surgery

I am in a little pain, coughing a lot, and feeling extremely tired. Surgery went well though. I am so glad I went through with it. Now, I just have to get over the surgery part.

Jane, Sorry to hear that you are in pain but thats the price we have to pay unfortunately... I wish you a speedy recovery and that you will be feeling much better soon. It's great to hear someone say only days after surgery that they do not regret their decision! It makes me not as anxious about the "aftermath" of gastric bypass. Well, you will be in my prayers and congrats to you on the beginning of a new life! I will be having surgery May 27th so hopefully things will go well for me too. HUGSSS!!!

I am glad that my comments help you. You know, its surgery. Therefore the body needs recovery time. But its once we get through that recovery, we will begin a new life. Its definitely worth pain. I have found some ways to deal with the pain. Coughing is the worst, but if you hug a pillow on your stomach when you cough, it isn't as bad. Good luck with your surgery. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Congrats and I wish you well and recovery...I will be joing you on the 5th...I know it may be uncomfortable but healing laproscopically vs open is so much quicker..I have had friends that had the open and boy did they tell stories..they survived as well Take good care and well wishes SENT TO YOU on your new journey
