Has anybody used Isospure liquid protein drinks like Grape Frost or Orange?

I know this is a dumb question, but will be having surgery May 5, 2008, and want to know how the Isopure liquid drinks taste!!!!! They have about 40 grams of protein, and 160 calories, no sugar, etc. I need something besides the shakes especiallly during the first 7-10 days when I can't have the shakes to get the protein in. I hate nasty stuff. I like my normal protein shake, but need something not milk based for the first week or so. Any ideas? Thanks so much, and I appreciate everyone's response.

Hi Pamela, I am having my surgery on May 12th so I am getting ready to start my liquid diet also. I was set to have surgery last August but i got cold feet! Anyway i went to my local health food store at that time and they were so nice and let me try a bunch of different drinks before i bought them. My doctor recommends Isopure as the best of the bunch so I did try it- it was ok- definitely tolerable but not delicious! I was able to buy a couple different brands in single bottle servings before i committed to a big order. So see if you can do something like that near you. Good luck! Deb in Boston

Smart-forme makes a delicious chicken boulion that has 20 grams of protein, also they have cold drinks that are pretty good with 20 grams in them also, I tried the Wildberry passion. It was good a little sweet tart, but I didn't taste the protein. My favorite though is their hot chocolate...20 grams of protein and only 100 calories...yum. They have other liquid based drinks check them out. If you go to the Forums tab up in the menu bar and click on the DIET AND NUTRICIAN you can look up reveiws on products... worth a look...hope this hels...lauren

I also forgot that unjury.com has an unflavored protein additive that you can add to any of your favorite beverages or stuff like sugar free jello... my program gave me samples of all this stuff and its not bad...
