Donna - it's great to see you!

I love this: "It is Mother's day and we are looking forward to a family day at the gym. yes, that is a big change."  Wow, that is an amazing thing for you to have accomplished - such a change of routine celebration - good for you!

Hey I am here just do not get online much anymore.....amazing how that changes isn't it!!!  Wow 2 years out May 29th.  I have my follow up on that day.  I was the first patient in that office.  So I am not sure who is more excited LOL!  I have been holding at the same weight for around a year (give or take a few pounds) so I am just now refocused and working on that last 30lbs.

I have been able to "pay it forward" and attend my surgeons seminars or round on patients the day after surgery.  And then actively participating in support group.  Helps keep me focused and on track.  LOL
Big change is that like tomorrow for instance.  It i s Mother's day and we are looking forward to a family day at the gym. yes, that is a big change.

It is good to see everyone!

*Cyndi*,

You certainly said it all "Life has been full of changes...both good and bad.  Sure I'm still an emotional eater but I guess I always will be."  That part certainly hasn't changed, but also, what has changed for me is "Those changes continue but being "normal" now, I'm coping with them much better. "

It HAS made a difference.  And I have wanted to turn to food, like I did in the past but have always been able to tell myself "no".  It's very difficult and I am still at the beginning of learning about my eating issues, but I hope to keep getting smarter and more "normal".  I still go to a nutritionist every month (even though my insurance doesn't cover it and the payments "hurt") but it's better than any therapy, just about since my NUT works through so many issues with me.

Keep on keeping on, girl - you look and "sound" wonderful.

So good to see so many checking in.  I've been hovering between 126 and 132 most times.  I've had a lot of stress and made it up to 142. YIKES!  I'm back down to about 133.  I'd like to get back to 130 and kind of stay there.  My clothing still fits so that's definitely a plus.  I got rid of EVERYTHING except my pants that I wore to the hospital and a shirt.  Everything else is gone. :)  I celebrate my 2nd surgiversary on the 25th.  It amazes me that just two years ago I was bouncing off the walls getting ready to go.  And, here I am, down about 140 pounds.  Amazing.  Life has been full of changes...both good and bad.  Those changes continue but being "normal" now, I'm coping with them much better.  Sure I'm still an emotional eater but I guess I always will be.

Love to you all!

John, thanks for checking in.

I also have a weight I'm "hovering" around......I did go really low about a month ago, but I think that was an odd cir****tance and maybe the scale was just cuckoo, because I'm back to my stablized window....I hover between 138 and 140.  Still following my "program", still tracking my food, still working out/exercising 5-6 days a week (except for a 10 day window for Passover.)

My goal is to try and be "normal" about all this (whatever that is) but, i've never been "normal" about food or eating, so I'm still trying to discover what that means for me.  I believe I will always be tracxking and exercising (as long as I am able - that is part of my "almost normal" arsenal.

I am SO HAPPY to hear your wife is doing well.  It does our hearts good to see out loved ones be healthy too, now that we "get it", doesn't it?

To quote the song "live, love, laugh and be happy"!  Take care!
