Topic: Monday Weigh-In!
Hi everyone! I was busy yesterday celebrating my surgiversary so I didn't get on here much at all. We had a huge cookout to celebrate. It's just incredible to me that a year ago my life changed. This week has also made big changes for me too! Pre-Op: 265.8 pounds Yesterday/Today: 139.8 pounds Total Lost: 126 pounds!!!! Surgeon's Goal: 150 pounds The best part is I've been stalled between 142 and 144 for about seven weeks. So, if you have a stall and think you're done, guess again kiddies! I was firmly in size 6 or 8 pants. I'm now in size 4. I'm still wearing junior medium to large tops or misses x-small or small tops. Since my "real" birthday is this Thursday, my best friend and I are taking the day and going shopping. She's SICK of me wearing things that are too big. Look out! She's also taking me to MAC Cosmetics for a makeover. When she and I worked together in the 1980s I was the Queen of Christian Dior makeup. LOL Now I'm little Miss Cover Girl makeup. So, she's bringing me back to the good stuff. I'm taking my one-year pics today because, well, I was busy cooking and eating yesterday. And, with all that eating, I didn't gain anything. LOL Wishing you all a Blessed Memorial Day! * Cyndi *

Krista, I have nausea off and on and take Zofran ODT for that but I would look at what you are eating. If I am eating too many carbs I have lots of nausea. But if it has gotten worse there has got to be a reason. I would definetly make an appointment to see your surgeon (shouldn't you be seeing him/her anyway for a one year check?) maybe you have had a stricture you are not aware of....perhaps you need an upper GI? My nausea etc has gotten much better over the past few months andif i get it there is usually an underlying reason.....like that i ate something I shouldn't have. Donna

I see we have the same surgiversary. I'll be a year out on the 25th too. Have you seen your doctors? There's no reason you should have to battle nausea for a year. That's just nuts! Obviously something is VERY off. How have your labs been? If you haven't seen your doctor (surgeon and/or PCP) make an appointment NOW. Good luck. * Cyndi *

I hope this doesnt offend anyone and I apologize in adavance if I do. On the 26th it will my one yearversery I have battled nausea I think all the way thorugh this process....but it has gotten worse in the past 4 months. I have been using weed to help, not my ideal fix but I am at a loss for what else works. I have tried all the otc stuff and nothing works as well. So I guess I just want to know if anyone else has this issue, do you smoke? If not what helps???? I understand that this is not a PC topic, and I may get nasty remarks and if you feel the need to do so, I will respectfully not respond- but I am not here to be riducled on my choices....I just need some help. Thanks for any help!

Topic: RE: 5 Day Pouch Test
You're brave Cyndi. I tried the 5-Day Pouch Test and couldn't do it. It made me sick. Mark swears I don't eat enough but it seems to me I'm eating all the time. Gee, no wonder my scale wouldn't move. It's always great to find a protein shake you can tolerate. I'm still sticking with my Fuzzy Navel and Orangeades. Though the orange creamsicle and orangeade is quite yummy too. You're doing great! You'll have to let us know what your scale shows after the test. * Cyndi *

Topic: RE: Happy Surgiversary to All!!
Hi Betsy! Congrats on being done with school for the time being. Take a nice break for some "me" time for yourself. I'm gearing up for my surgiversary on Sunday. I was happy to FINALLY see my scale move downward again. It's been going up and down the same 2 pounds for about 5 weeks. It's finally going down again. lol Hopefully on the 25th I'll have my final number on the scale. Hope you have a great holiday weekend! * Cyndi *
