I'm still about 135 pounds and still feeling pretty great. The hospital near me has just started doing weight loss surgeries. I'm trying hard to get a job in that department. I think it would be a great opportunity for me and for pre-ops.
Just wanted to check in and see if anyone still checks our board. I miss you all!

I do know what you mean about the keeping it off, since I have gained back 20 lbs. I now have to lose that because it is really getting to me. I don't want to regain everything!!
I actually started this morning. I was at the fitness center at 6:20 am. Tried out a few pieces of equipment, but did most of my time on the treadmill. I injured my knee Sunday in a fall. I am not letting it become an excuse to not do anything though. I did walk on the treadmill for 26 min. Maybe not as fast as normal, but at least I was on it.
I am down two pounds this week too.......things are definitely moving in the right direction.
Have a great day everyone!!

Hugs to all,

Thanks for checking in!!!
Hi May 07 friends,
I'm inviting you to a little group to help those (yes, including myself) who have gained 10 or more pounds beyond that lowest weight. We are calling it the "Drop 10 for 10 Challenge". You can easily join this group by going to www.obesityhelp.com/group/Drop10410. I'm hoping that with your help we can generate a little excitement and enthusiasm for getting back on track. We will have a monthly weighin, but it will only be pounds off since the start of the new 2010 decade. Your participation is only what you want to make it. I'm pumped up and ready to get back on track for 2010.
There are no hard and fast rules for joining, but you really should be at least 10 pounds above your lowest post-surgery weight and interested in getting things back in line.
Let's get this new decade off to a great start.

Regain of 20 pounds has thrown me for a loop - will not let this get the best of me - what am I doing about it?

I started at 261 and am now at 164 and happy with that. At 14 months post op I found out I was pregnant and I now have a 9 month old baby boy and a 5 year old. I gained 17lbs during my pregnancy and have lost 27 lbs since having him. Am I working on losing weight NO am I happy about it the extra loss? Yes LOL . I still feel full very easy and I can't eat a lot of sugar. I don't do my protien first which I wish I still did and I don't take my vitamins :( I wonder if its all going to come crashing down. I don't consider myself a success , anyone can lose weight but keeping it off is the true test ya know?
I read some of the posts and am happy to see everyone and your all doing soooo well!
