Rebecca,
It is not over. I have read enough around here at OH that I can tell you that it stops when you let it stop. Right after I had my surgery I came across a post that I pasted into a Word document so I could retrieve it just for an occasion like this. I don't know who wrote it or who should get the credit for it, but it is shown below and may offer some tips to help you. If your calories are in the right range, your body has no choice but to give up the weight. Just have fun and enjoy. Getting to goal won't be that much more fun than what you are enjoying right now. You will get things going again and I don't need to remind you that plateaus are just a natural part of the process.
Also, there is a young lady that is over on the RNY board whose name is MelissaF. She says in her story that everyone started out by jumping ahead of her. Then she just stayed with the plan and eventually she passed all of those early jackrabbits. She has an interesting story and I would encourage you to read that as well....it is inspirational.
I'm also a big fan of cabbage soup as a jumpstarter. I did that in my Weigh****cher days and had great success. I also did it when I got back from Michigan and lost 22 pounds in the past 6 weeks.

Ok so everyone can start throwing things at me. I need advice. I feel like I'm doing everything right, I need to up my water a little but nothing crazy and I have been losing and gaining the same 3lbs and today I was even heavier then that. On Sunday I was 189 now I'm up to 192 whats going on?? Is this it? I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong I'm tickled pink that I have lost 73lbs of the 110 I wanted to lose but I'm only 4 months out. I don't eat sugar, I'm doing low fat/high protein, exercising & watching my portions so why have I stopped losing? Maybe this is it. *Cry* I hit my 4th month on the 9th. Thanks for listening to me wine.
Hugs to you all. It's been a fun ride!

Hi May groupies,
Sorry for what you are about to read...but I'm just a bit too proud for my own good. I have two sons, one in 9th grade and one in 8th grade. After having an "okay" year last year, they both decided to try out for quarterback (maybe a bit more confidenence across the board in our family???) and both ended up with the position. The high schooler is only a freshman and is 3rd string quarterback. He actually got in to play the very first opening game. This is very uncommon at our school where we have taken the Kansas state championships (just in our little private school league) for the past 4 years. Then in the second game, he actually was the quarterback (and did very well) for about one quarter of the game due to the lead that the starters had secured. On Monday he will be the starting quarterback for the Junior Varsity team.
The 8th grader is the starting quarterback for the Junior High team and he had a fabulous night last night with his debute in his new position. They almost pulled out a win in the last play after attacking a 14 point deficit. That last play is on tape showing our team getting in the endzone...I guess the plan is to appeal. Anyway, last year he played on the line and was rather average. Both of my sons seem like they have changed as a result of my surgery. Their goals seem strengthened and they also seem like they are also going after more in life too.
As for me, I am so content with my weight losses that I am living like I am at goal (only I eat like I'm in weight loss mode....still faithfully at 800-1000 cals a day). Don't be discouraged folks...we will ALL get there if we ALL continue to do what is necessary to get there. It is not going to all of a sudden stop unless we decide not to stay focused. I went through what a couple of you are talking about...where I started thinking that I could get away with a bit more and then I hit a huge stall. Once I got back to basics, the weight started peeling off again...the beauty of the WLS process.
So everybody have fun.....IT IS FOOTBALL SEASON....are you ready for some football???

Topic: I hit the jackpot!!
OMG! My last post I was complaining about needing to buy smaller sized clothes, not having the funds for "temporary" clothes, & hating to shop. Well, my hottie man husband was going thru some boxes upstairs & found one with old jeans in it. They were mine from 10 yrs. ago. Since I've been in serious denial about looking any smaller, I thought "I'll try 'em on, but doubt they'll fit." Man! 5 pair size 18's (was size 22 pre-op), non-stretch type...real jeans and they all fit! One was a little tight around the waist & calves, but they all fit!! That's @ least $80.00 worth of jeans. I am so tickled. One, I don't have to spend money on new ones and two, they're a size 18. Woweeeeee...

Hey friends,
Because I love you all so much, I am sharing a "rarely seen" photo of me at my top weight many years ago. I just loaded it in my pictures.
GO CHECK IT OUT!
