Thanks for sharing this! I thought about making an appointment with my NUT but it's such a long drive. I see my surgeon on Thursday so I'll definitely ask him what gives. But, I guess it kind of makes sense doesn't it. I'll just try the shakes in between and forget about my SF fudgsicle during General Hospital on SoapNet. Maybe that will jumpstart some of us again.
Hang in there Cynthia!!!

I lost 2 pounds again this week. Seems like I'm losing slow and steady, two to three pounds at a time. But I'll take it!!!

Last week: 165
This week: 163
Total weight loss: 64 pounds

Topic: Caloric Intake
I am not sure if this might help anyone or not but I will post anyway.
I was very concerned that I have not lost very much since my surgery, so I emailed my nut and she said at this point out I should only be eating 800-1000 calories a day, and no solid food snacking between meals, just shakes.
I was getting very discuraged because I am 4 months out and only lost 46 lbs, I guess I should not complain because it is more than I would have lost before the surgery.
I know everyone has stalls, but I will loose a pound a week and then nothing for 2 weeks, it is very frustrating. I was getting all my protein and water and vitamins in and still not loosing. So I guess I will have to cut out the snacks (ie. welch's dried fruit, and 100 calorie chips) and see if that helps. I hope this might help anyone else in the same situation.

John, I'm one of the few women I know who can't WAIT for football season! My Cowboys are 2-0 and I'm hoping the Eagles lose tonight. LOL I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan and the husband is a lifelong Redskins fan. How we're still married after almost 12 years is beyond me.
I'm trying to get back to basics. I figured with all this hair falling out that the scale would move a little better. I'm faithfully drinking 4 protein shakes a day. I'm not sure about the food so I better get the fitday program you were talking about. My daughter has been making FABULOUS food choices this school year. I'm so proud of her! What she doesn't like is that mommy is eyeing her clothing. LOL I'm very comfortable in my post-op routine which, for better or worse, has gotten my family quite comfortable. They tend to "forget" that mom MUST do certain things throughout the day. So, I've changed my daily routine and, though I get in my home office a little later, I'm still getting in 3-4 mile walks every weekday morning. Yeah me!
I'm disgusted with the slow weight loss but, being 193.2 is MUCH better than being 265!!! I do see the inches coming off so hopefully the numbers will soon too.
I'm cheering for you all here in South Jersey!!!!!
