Topic: What protein is everyone drinking?
I was just wondering what type/flavor/brand of protein was the best. I am getting tired of the ones that I am currently using. What is everyone else drinking and how are you preparing it?

Work! How dare it get in the way of our real lives...LOL I go thru the same here. I find myself forgetting to eat while I am at work as well as not drinking enough. Before work I don't wanna work out, 'cause I know I have to go to work. After work I am too tired to work out. No advice for ya, but here's some hugs-4-u!!

Maria, No suggestions from me, but I'm right there with you. I do exercise on weekends (usually long walks), but during the rest of the week, it is all I can do to get through the day, eat dinner and head to bed. It too feel blah - not depressed, but sort of in a daze. Perhaps this is a "normal" stage for where we are at? -Susan

I had surgery in May 2007. I've done good and have gone down 81lbs. Now for the bad part.... it's the exercise. I'm going through the exercise blahs. I can't find time to exercise. I work 60 miles from work and when I get home it's 8:30pm. I usually eat something and after 30 minutes head for bed. I know I shouldn't but where do I find the energy and the time to do what I need to do. I'm not putting excuses? I'm trying to get myself into the mood. Lately I've noticed that my mood is more of a "blah" one. I really just rather sit and stare at everything. Even going to work has become a task. I loved my job and now I have to talk myself to getting there. Once I'm there I'm okay. The whole eating thing at times gets to me too. I have been doing great eating 5 meals (my 3 with 2 snacks) but lately I have caught myself not eating my first meal until 3pm and then having a light dinner and going to sleep. Any advice on how to snap myself out of this 2 week moment?

My doctor doesn't have me counting carlorie. He told me that if you're eating what your supposed to and the quantities the calories will be fine. I am eating 5 times a day. Breakfast - snack - lunch - snack -dinner. Sometimes I change my last snack to after dinner. In any case, it's 4-5oz per sitting and snack is as simple as a cup of non-fat milk or yougart. I was operated in May 14, 2007 and I have lost 81lbs. He's happy (my doc) and I'm happy. I tend to stay away from the salads to make sure that the protein is in. The protein shakes is my answer for eating breakfast on the run. Hope this can help.

Honestyly Liz, I never count calories....I have just been sticking to mainly protein and maybe some veggies or salads. I guess I need to start counting but if I eat the good stuff, I don't think calories matter unless I am overeating. Thanks for the wake-up call. Hugs, Esther
