Topic: RE: What regular drinks is everyone dirnking?
I'm pretty much an iced tea girl. I have an iced tea maker and I always have Lipton Decaf tea around. I sweeten it with Sweet N Low or Splenda and I love it. I also drink water......and I love Market Pantry (Target Brand) Sugar free Strawberry lemonade. It's just their version of crystal light. I've also tried a few sips of diet sodas here and there----I don't like the way they make me feel...the carbonation is very uncomfortable. I stay away from those!
Anyway...good luck......I know it's frustrating!

I used to hate water and all of my daily liquids were Crystal Light, but recently I've gone back to water and I hardly ever touch my flavoured stuff.
I have a couple of cases of Diet Snapple which I love, and occasionally I'll have a diet Nestea or something. I loooove iced tea!

Hi Esther-
You can get the Whey Gourmet for about $3 cheaper at this site...

Not a big difference, but every dollar counts!
Hope you're doing well!

I'm addicted to Crystal Light. I switch flavors- I started on the Lemonade or Orange, and now I'm going through a peach tea phase.
I tried a sip of soda and 1. it tasted SO sweet and gross and 2. The carbonation hurt! So no more soda for me.
What about just adding a slice of lemon or lime to your water?

I went to Wal-mart and got the immitation Crystal Lite and I absolutely love the Fruit Punch.... to me it taste like the real deal. I also got Orange which taste like Tang. The Crystal Lite if mixed right is very good.
I won't touch anything with sodium or carbonation because both my daughter and my niece who had the RNY gained 20 pounds after going back to Diet Coke and when they stopped it, they dropped the 20 pounds so I am never going back to that.
You can also have Diet Snapple but I don't care for that.
Hugs,
Esther

I personal have found very few things other than water that I can tolorate. Crystal Light is just absolutely aweful. Most flavored waters I've tried are too acidy tasting.... and I've tried many diet/light fruit punches and some are -ok- and some are just kinda bleh. I also tried some diet ice teas and some if they are cold aren't bad for a change in taste... but most leave a funky aftertaste in my mouth.
I'd do diet sodas but I was told they had to go completely flat.. and that takes WAY too long.....
So anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone out there actually drank a diet soda with carbination since surgery? Anything bad happen??? And what drinks do you all drink? Cause I'm getting a tad tired of water ALL the time.

I personally did not like the fruit punch at all..... I tried it in both the 25 and 42.. the 25 I was able to choke down okay.. but the 42 I actually chase either with some kinda fruit or treat.. cause it's absolutely horrible.
The 25 blue raspberry isn't bad..... I haven't tried any others yet... I know one of the girls in the office my doctor is at had the surgery and she said she did not like the Grape or Orange I believe it was.. I can't remember which one she hated and the other she didn't care for. She drinks the fruit punch ones.
I didn't know there was a peach.. I might have to try it cause I do love peach flavored drinks....
Topic: RE: Hey everyone
Ya I got a new puppy recently so I'm cleaning house more so that's good excersize.. as well as starting back school and I also went to one of my boyfriend's classes yesterday and had to walk about (at least) a mile and then went up 3 flights of stairs (then had to go down the 3 flights and walk about half a mile after class lol). I also like to window shop and walk around that way (though the doctor says window shopping/walking doesn't count either x_X).
As for the foods I eat, I usually have protein bullets (the 25 or 42).. and I usually have more bready things than I should but I am careful not to over do it. I do a lot of shrimp, hamberger meat (I always strainned my meat even before surgery so that takes our most the fat left when cooked), I have some deli meat but I'm growing tired of it... I eat a lot of cheese products and soups... Tacos I do some too. I mostly am a meat/cheese eater but I HATE cottage cheese a LOT. Chicken didn't agree with me from the start so I'm scared to eat it now... and turkey is a little dry. Lamb and Veal my doctor suggested but it caused dumping... so I'm left with only a few options sadly. I did eat a LOT of catfish when I was still with my mom post surgery but I haven't cooked it much here (I got some frozen in the freezer though). I have a ton of sugar free jello, ice creams, etc... I was never a big sweet eater but I like it once in a while. I miss fruit the most and I usually do fruit with those nasty protien bullets to help with the taste.
Supplements are a big issue with me... cause my doctor wants me to take 2 multi vits., 3 calciums (which I can't take when I take the multi or any other vit.), 800-1000mg Bioten (which is two pills all together at once), an iron supplement with a vit C pill, plus all my presciption, and a B-12 every week. I find myself forgetting some pills still or not really forget, but just don't have enough time in the day to down everything they want me to down. I notice some of you had to take some supplements and listed what you took... and it doesn't seem as much as what my doctor is requiering of me. Is what he's requiering normal?
