Nice to see you around T. Rob my first surgery buddy!!
Congrats to you on all your success- you seem to be doing great! I share the same sentiments about other boards here at OH. I lurk around a bit and read the posts, but May is where my peeps are
It's great to have a place to come home- where everyone seems to know what you're going through and will always support you. It's been VERY helpful for me!
Glad to hear you are doing well and keeping busy!
Enjoy your Turkey this year!!

Topic: RE: Silly worry
Not silly- I totally understand.
My best friend wants me to run in this big race in Oct. of 2008- the Army 10 miler. 10 miles?!?!? Is she nuts?? I'm TERRIFIED. I'm always so paranoid about what I will look like running or if I will ever be able to make it even a mile, let alone 10!
I'm supposed to start training for it in January. We'll see.
GOOD LUCK! Pretty soon you'll be speedy gonzalez!!

Topic: Silly worry
Ok you guys can laugh at me but I"m worried. Tonight my very sweet brother in law is taking me running (on my request) This is something I have dreamed of being able to do without wanting to feel like I'm going to die lol. Here is my silly worry. What if I can't do it lol. What if we get out there and I look like a total tard? I know that it will take me time to learn how to do things right like breathing and stuff but for those of you that are running how did it start out for you. What should I expect? Ok thanks for listening to me whine lol. I hope you all have a wonderful day. BTW small note (wasn't even going to post it) I hit my dr's goal of 175 today..CRAZY!
Hugs,
Rebecca
Topic: RE: If you are reading this, consider yourself family
T.Rob how funny you bring this up! And, btw, I consider you all family too! We cook for an army at Thanksgiving and Christmas some come on down!
Mark loves to cook. I do it when necessary. So, yesterday we were talking about the menus. His folks want us to come down for Thanksgiving. Since his mom is a horrible cook, that might be an option.
But, since his dad smokes like a chimney, I don't wanna go. Mark is VERY weirded out about my first "real" holiday and how we will cook. I came home the day before my birthday, but since there wasn't cake, the birthday didn't count for much.
I make stuffing patties and I'm gonna have one darn it. Okay, I might make a teeny, tiny one, but I'm having one all the same. Turkey is protein! 'Nuff said there. Okay, I might cry over missing a crescent roll. But, other than that, I'm excited!
My "HUGE" photo is one Mark's dad took of us the Saturday after Thanksgiving when we did the Christmas thing. So, I saved the sweater and I'm taking a "one year later" pic on that same date. I'm sure I won't
after looking at my new one.
Oh, yeah. The holidays are gonna be REAL interesting.
We can always go to Spencer's and get whoopie cushions. OUR butts won't break them now.
Thanks for the early morning laugh!

Topic: RE: WOW moment!
Chantal,
I stopped by your blogspot and looked at the pictures there. You are definitely losing weight and look great! Nice wow moment!
But did you ask your Dr. about the orientation problem? If you look at the pictures, you lean about 5 degrees more to the left in each one. I'm afraid that if you lose any more weight you will be horizontal! Get hat checked out before you have to trade your car in for a bobsled.

Topic: RE: Heart felt thank you
Hi Rebecca,
I barely feel qualified to respond considering how little I've been around here of late but I just wanted to say the feeling is mutual. Even when I don't post I try to keep up with the other posts and blogs and I draw inspiration from them. You've been there for me even when you didn't know you were and I thank you right back.

Why thank you! You're a hoot! Like I am wearing the size 22's anymore...LOL 14's for me, Baby!!
Topic: RE: How much can YOU eat?
For me it depends on what the food is. With yogurt, I can eat it almost at will. Not quite like a true liquid but almost. Soups without much solids, same thing. More solid foods I can eat a large portion like a full Lean Cuisine, but it takes me a while. Sometimes I've overdone it and it's real uncomfortable. My NUT says the trick is to stop based on measured serving size and not what "feels" full so I've been trying to do that.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to make me dump. I admit to trying some of my guilty pleasure foods. I was hoping for some aversion therapy - get sick, vomit or worse. No such luck. I have to stay away from these on principle alone.
