I had my 6 months check up with Dr.Sundberg of Grinnell on Oct 30th I had lost 19 pounds in 6 weeks I started out at 273 and I 'm down to 164. I have lost a total of 109 pounds total since May. I 'm feeling fine and doing alot better health wise too. not sorry i had this surgery i would do it again. if i had to.I belong to the support group that meets on the 4th Sat .of every month at the Grinnell hospital. I have learned alot by going to the support group. and have made alot of new friends.

See, Esther, I told ya so!!!! Once you get over that stall of making it to Onederland you'll FLY through and I was right.

Thanks girls, I've been feeling frusterated for a while now it seems. I just wish I could quickly sail through these last few pounds. If only it were that simple

I'm so happy, happy, happy for you! I'm an old married chick so Mark's been with me from chubby to morbidly obese and now within seeing "normal". You'll know if/when the time is right. Yes, it is a huge part of our lives and, as others have said, you're definitely a cheap date. Mark loves taking me out now. We just ask for another plate. He loves it.

Hi all,
I had an okay week. I had just a bit too much on the carb side of things...I admit...candy here and there. What I like about this surgery is that I feel like I'm in the drivers seat and not the food. I feel that I can pull it back in now that this little two week break ended.
Highest Weight : 347
Surgery Date : 300
Last week: 224
This Week: 222
Lost this week: 2 pounds
Total gone: 125
Left to get to goal: 32 pounds
You are all doing so well...let's get ready to march into the holiday season with confidence.

Awe...how sweet of you Chantal!
I figured- wait till you figure out if it will even go anywhere, make sure you really like him. I'm sure I'll be able to figure out when it's the right time to tell him.
You are right, though- I do deserve a good man! I'm finally in a place where I feel like that is true- not that I just need whatever man would accept me in my fat body.
I will keep you posted- keep your fingers crossed for me!!
