I had one in the begining of August.  So excited to start this process!!!!  It will be awhile on some of it.  I will have to make it in stages LOL!  But we are currently attempting to get the insurance to cover the first part (or most of it).  Very exciting and I can't wait!!!!!!  though I want to lose another 20lbs before I do the lower lift. That  my insurance will probably not cover  so I will have to wait to get the money together.....but just having the plan on what we are going to do and just having settled on the PS I like.....that is exciting!!!!!

So anyone else working on this part of the journey yet?

Cynthia, Thanks for hte info.  I figured out how to make this one work for now.  And anything else is really being piocky so it can wait.  I feel blessed that I do not have much skin to deal with .  But I will share this info in support group.  It might benefit a few people.

Good luck Donna!  Remember, fine grit sandpaper can be your friend.  No plastics for me!  I kinda got lucky.  I have about 3 more pounds I want to lose.  You know, it's a number thing now.  But, I figure if I can fit in size 2 or size 4 jeans (size 7 in juniors), I'm doing okay. lol  I got really, really lucky that nothing is really that flabby.

Can't wait to hear more about it!  I'm almost jealous. LOL

Cyndi that is great!  I consider myself lucky too!  And even the PS said I am VERY fortunate!!! What I am having done needed to be done prior to WLS and the rest is being picky.  but hey I have been this far right!  I have friends though that were not as lucky.  The longer I wait the more that will nto need to be done.  But that is nto what i expected with all the weight I had to lose.  I expected it to be much worse  LOL!

Just had a tummy tuck and augmentation done on 1-8-09, oh my gosh i can't believe how i look and more confident about myself.  My insurance would not cover it, so i did a home equity loan so i could write off the interest.  You can also do carecredit.com they finance health costs for you.

I'm a nurse so i checked into teaching hospitals locally that had plastics and reconstructive surgery, 5th year residents did mine, they did a good job, it cost me total 6000 included everything hospital stay of one day, anesthesia, surgery, this was for both procedures. Interns are more by the book and are not in a hurry because they do not have to make money to keep their practice open LOL.  They took off a pound of skin from my stomach and went from an A cup to a D cup ( all i had there was skin too) maybe next year i'm going to do the thigh lift they are estimating about 2500 for that. So i may just hold my tax money and do that.
