Help I need feedback
I hope this doesnt offend anyone and I apologize in adavance if I do.
On the 26th it will my one yearversery I have battled nausea I think all the way thorugh this process....but it has gotten worse in the past 4 months.
I have been using weed to help, not my ideal fix but I am at a loss for what else works. I have tried all the otc stuff and nothing works as well.
So I guess I just want to know if anyone else has this issue, do you smoke? If not what helps????
I understand that this is not a PC topic, and I may get nasty remarks and if you feel the need to do so, I will respectfully not respond- but I am not here to be riducled on my choices....I just need some help. Thanks for any help!
I see we have the same surgiversary. I'll be a year out on the 25th too. Have you seen your doctors? There's no reason you should have to battle nausea for a year. That's just nuts! Obviously something is VERY off. How have your labs been? If you haven't seen your doctor (surgeon and/or PCP) make an appointment NOW.
Good luck.

Krista,
I have nausea off and on and take Zofran ODT for that but I would look at what you are eating. If I am eating too many carbs I have lots of nausea. But if it has gotten worse there has got to be a reason. I would definetly make an appointment to see your surgeon (shouldn't you be seeing him/her anyway for a one year check?) maybe you have had a stricture you are not aware of....perhaps you need an upper GI? My nausea etc has gotten much better over the past few months andif i get it there is usually an underlying reason.....like that i ate something I shouldn't have.

I do not partake in smoking of the herb. I suffered nausea for the entire month of Sept. which was 4 mos after my Lap RNY. The only thing that offered relief over the counter was Cola Syrup. It saved my life and I am only exagerating slightly. Finally the beginning of Oct. my surgeon's assistant prescribed Prilosec OTC 20mg 1 daily. I have had no troubles since. Even with the weed, I don't know how you can function with a years worth of nausea. It is not normal and you need to see a doctor. Mention the Prilosec that I take. I am not criticizing your choice to smoke, but did you indulge prior to your surgery & all the nausea? Could you be using your symptoms as an excuse? Not only is it illegal, but bad for you. You are inhaling smoke and have traded your poor eating habits for another one. Keep us posted, we're on your side here. ~April
