So, Mark left for Washington, DC this afternoon for an expo. Of course, this is Britt's dance recital week so I'm left to my own defenses. LOL My goofy weight has been bouncing from 142.8 to 144.3 for weeks and weeks. I've been comfy in my size 6 jeans. A few Juniors things I can wear a 7 or 9. Totally cool. So, I got a $10 off any $10 purchase coupon from Fashion Bug. On the way to the college for recital practice I realized this was the last day for that coupon. How can you lose a $10 off $10 purchase coupon? So, we went in and I tried on some skorts. I'm okay with shirts but seriously lacking in the bottoms department. I tried on an 8 and it was huge. Huh??? I just chalked it up to being one of those low-rise things that I hate. I asked Britt to get me a 6. Well, 11 years olds don't do more than you ask so the size 4 and size 6 had their tags twisted together. Far be it for Britt to untwist them and bring me the 6. She says "I brought them both just in case." For a laugh I tried on the 4 first. WHAT???? ME???? Not only did I try it on but it FREAKING FIT!!!!!! I was so excited I had to call Mark as he was driving. He just laughed, asked if I'd danced around the dressing room doing my dance and yelling "I'm in a size 4! I'm in a size 4!" and to just get it in whatever colors I wanted. Okay, I'll fess up. I did do my happy dance and sing my song. I just didn't tell him. So, today, May 6, 2008, just 19 days short of my 1 year surgiversary.....I BOUGHT SIZE 4 SKORTS!!!!!! The funniest part? This time last year I was in size 26! Can you tell I love my RNY???? * Cyndi *

You go girl!!! Oh, to be in any single digit size would be a miracle. I haven't been a single digit size since I was 8 years old. Sad!!! I'll get there.....someday. lol. Way to go. You rock! Courtney

Oh Courtney. You'll do the happy dance in the store same as I did. LOL It won't be long for you! The last time I was in this size was about 1974 in 4th grade. It's so freaking cool. I'm taking a picture of the shorts, the tag and me in them tomorrow. I can't wait for my walking partner to get here. I'm going to have them on with the freaking tag hanging out. LOL * Cyndi *

Oh Cyndi I am so happy for you!!!!! That has to be great! Now me personally will just be happy with a 10! but that is just me. Even when I was 150 before I was a 10 or a 12 so I am not expecting to get samller than that! But I would have done a happy dance for sure......so how many did you buy? I did have a little wow myself.....not to steal your thunder but I had ordered swim team tshirts (well dh did) and the person in chargeo fo it came ot tell me our order was in. Then she said "Now your husband ordered you an XL you know that right?" Well in my old mentality I was thinking well yes an XL I am still losing weight but it should fit or will by the end of the summer. She must have read my face because she said "no, what I mean is are you sure you want the XL? You are getting skinny" to that I interrupted the "oh no I am not but thanks". She said "well whether you see it or not you are and I think you might want to consider a large" So I put it on over my other shirt.....it fit and not only did it fit but it was over another loose shirt and had room! I could actually wear a medium!! But since that is the size I ordered my daughter I settled for the large. "She said I guess you just do not see what others see" And clearly I don't. Cause I was still in Large when I was 150 and I am still 195 so I am not thinking small and others tell me I am losing too much! Go figure! And add to that that last year I ordered a 4 x shirt for swim team. But you know something I discovered this weekend.....we were at the water park and were walking out wet and I stopped in my tracks and stopped DH and said "My thinhs are not touching".....I do not think he got it.....but talk about happy dance.....i wanted to do one there for sure LOL! So here is to you for that great accomplishment!!!!!! Donna

at the thighs not touching! How funny is that! You know, naturally thin people just don't get our excitement at the strangest things. I couldn't believe when I could see my collarbones. That was the strangest. I don't think I knew I had them! LOL For the size 4, I bought rust color (wearing today) and navy blue. Honestly, I think it's a fluke in the cut. I know darned well I'm not really a size 4. But, honestly, when I was 185 lbs I wore like a 16. That was 25 years ago. When I pulled out my 80s clothes they sure didn't fit the same. I'm pretty certain you'll ALL see size 8s. I'm sure not working my tail off to get in the smaller sizes. I did start walking again. Whatever my funky pain was seemed to have gone away. Isn't it weird though. We sure don't see our real selves. I take pictures and still think it must be my camera cause I certainly am not this small. LOL We are all doing sooooooooooooooooooooooooo great!!!! * Cyndi *

They're really cute skorts. I know I'm not a real size 4 but I was so excited I had to buy two. LOL I'm 5'8" so they feel a little short on me but my pal keeps telling me to flaunt it. LOL I had a $10 off any $10 purchase. I mean, who can pass that up. LOL I'm back to walking so I'm HOPING my scale will go down just 4 more pounds. My final goal is 139. I'd love to see that. Okay, I'd probably pass out if I saw it. I love these new little sizes. It's so nice to not pay those Lane Bryant, Avenue, etc. prices anymore. * Cyndi *

Cyndi, You have been one of the heartbeats here on this May board. Thanks "4" keeping the family together and sharing our successes. There have been others who have so greatly contributed, but it has been you who has really kept the sharing going on. I know that I'll probably never meet any of my "May" friends face to face, but we do have a bond. Congrats on the 4's. You certainly deserve such a small size...you skinny little lady....Keep up the great work. John
