Sunday Weigh-In!
Wow! It's 1:15 pm Eastern and I'm shocked no one started the thread. I was in NYC yesterday seeing "Wicked" with Britt. We missed seeing the Pope by about 5 minutes. Oh well. "Wicked" was incredible! lol

Day of surgery: 255

The show was incredible! I PM'd you. Britt and I go there a few times a year and she's already BEGGING to see "Wicked" again. You know, kinda like a drug for WOZ addicts. LOL But, it's less fattening than chocolate!
Hang in there with the scale bounce. I've been as high as 148.something this week and hit my all-time low of 143.0 this morning. There are mornings I want to beat my scale with a sledgehammer. LOL

Yeah Gayle! You're doing great! It is sad but with spring upon us, hopefully we'll have those busy lives we always wanted. It's still chilly here for the most part but I'm planning my first garden. Yup, our family has been at this house since 1964 and has never really had the gardeny look. My mom grew up in the city so dirt isn't her thing. LOL We bought the house about 6 years ago and I'm determined to have some flowers out front. LOL
Have a great week!

Hi guys. I have lost 62 lbs since my surgery in May of 07. I am at a standstill and have not lost any weight for about 8 weeks. As a matter of fact I gain 2 or 3 lbs and then lose them. I reached the doctors goal of 152 but I wanted to get about 10 more lbs in. Any suggestions on getting the weight loss started again? It seems when I try to count my calories I can't keep my sugar level high enough. I just started step aerobice about three weeks ago and have been doing them 3 to 4 days a week since I started. I thought I was gaining muscle since I had NOT been exercising regularly for a while. I would appreciate any help you can give.
I'm one of the guilty ones for not coming to the May Board.... I've been at a standstill for several weeks - again.... I've lost a total of 138 lbs or 140 lbs - depending on the day of the week.... Still have about 45 lbs I'd like to lose but just can't seem to get under 200... I've seen 209 a couple of times, but seem to be maintaining at 212....
So my totals look something like this:::
Highest weight - 348
Surgery weight - 295
Current weight - 212
Loss for the week - none....
Starting the 5 day pouch test this morning with others from the Texas Board - hopefully this will jump start my loss again and pray that I can finally see oneunderland!!
Have a great week everyone.

Hang in there Lisa. I was at a stall for soooooooooo long. I'm not motivated enough to be at the gym all the time. I walk about 5 miles every morning with my best friend. Counting calories never worked for me and my surgeon discourages it. I got back on my protein shakes and cut out the "crap" that had worked its way back into my mouth. You've started a new program and your body is surprised. Give it a week or so and see if the scale isn't moving again. My surgeon's goal was 150 and it seemed to take forever to get there. I stayed there for a couple weeks and the losses started again. And, make sure you're getting in all your fluids! That's where one of my stall issues happened. I just wasn't taking the time to get in all my fluids.
Good luck!
