It's been a long time since I've posted on the Sunday weigh in...I've been at the same weight for WEEKS. I decided this week to get back to some basics--and it worked. I started pushing more protein and trying to eat more fruits and veggies as fillers instead of carbs. I finally lost 6 lbs! Hooray!! I was getting worried!!

5 pounds this week, and 152 total!!!! Now that I have finally started to lose again, I am working hard to keep it up. Hitting the gym no less than 4 days a week now, and drinking more water! Good luck everyone

I actually gained a pound. I think that it may be more of a fluxuation though.
I'm at 199 and motivated to stay below the 200 mark...worked too hard to slip back.
I've been at the same weight for most of March. I'm interested in getting 10 more off, so I'll give a good push here before my 1 year surgiversary.
Started at 347 and down around 150 pounds.
I went to the support group and then we went into the room where the new orientation for prospective patients were getting all of the information. My wife, Christine, was among this group. What a day it was. We went out for an Italian lunch and just had a wonderful day. My wife has to be careful NOT to gain since she is sitting on the 35 BMI mark. So, needless to say, her focus is not on losing so it make it harder for me too.
I also bought some new suits at a second-hand store for under $20 each. My kids said that I look like Bill Self. Now if you live in Kansas and you are told that you look like Bill Self, that is a fine compliment. (reference here the 2008 national champions of KU.....rock, chalk Jayhawks....go KU)
I'm so happy with life now and it also got a lot harder to keep losing after my docs appointment. When you get called a "poster child", it makes it harder to say focused. I'm still getting used to the idea that I'm offically successful at this. Now, to stay successful is the key.
Have a great week.
John
A pound isn't bad John. I've fluctuated between 144.4 and 147.8 for weeks. But, on Sunday, I end up around 144 again. It's weird. My surgeon warned me not to get too crazy on those "gains". It's just the body evening itself out. I'd love to see 140 but I really don't think it'll happen.
Best wishes to Christine! I'm so happy for her. I hate that "poster child" line too. Yeah, I've done fantastic but I'm no poster child for the surgery. If my surgeon knew half the crap I eat he'd kick my butt. LOL
You're all doing great!
