Six Flags!
Well, I finally made my much anticipated trip to Six Flags today! Haven't been there in over 10 years...and it's 10 minutes from my house. I used to live there...until I got too big to ride the rides. One of my main goals after this surgery was to go back...and ride everything. I went today...and didn't get to ride everything (because my 8 year old sister was with me and she's too short). BUT--everything we road (including big roller coasters)...I was able to fit with no problem at all. Unfortunately, I did see some people who were tugging and pulling at lap belts and lap bars to be able to ride.....and it broke my heart to see them. I REMEMBER what that was like--it's an awful feeling! I must admit, the first ride we road was a huge wooden roller coaster, The Texas Giant. I remember the very last time I rode it (I was in 10th grade)...I said I'd never get back on it again...because I ALMOST didn't fit. I was really nervous to sit down...I kept eyeballing the seat...but I fit with no problem today. It was a GREAT feeling! Just wanted to share =) Oh yeah, and me and Roxanne (also a Mayster) are going again next Saturday...and I plan on riding as many big roller coasters as I can drag her on! I'll let you know how it goes...lol.

Your 8 year old sister is more likely to ride the big big roller coasters than me
I am so happy you finally got to go to Six Flags. I am going today with the family but know that we will have a blast next weekend. RUNAWAY MOUNTAIN here we come!!!! That is my favorite ride out there!
Talk to ya soon!

Oh noooo roller coasters for me... My friend Comet who had WLS with me & her hubbie just loves them! Prior to surgery she was having trouble fitting in seats. It was a goal of hers to be able to ride them all again. Back in Oct. they went to Cedar Point, OH and she was estatic to say her goal was met. Right now her and her family are at Universal Studios in FL. I don't envy the park visit, but I'd like her to bring back some warm sunny weather. It's cold in NY today. Only 34F and I am sure there's a wind chill. Courtney, you have done great!! Looking great too! Take care, April
Congratulations! That is still on my list but I share the roller-coaster goal with you. I'm in Vegas in two weeks, maybe I'll go on the Stratosphere or New York, New York. If you are going to lose your shirt in Vegas, doing so because you are upside down and going 45mph is the way to do it.
